Taber & District Sports Hall of Fame

Last weekend, Debbie and Carolyn (two of our Board members) attended the Lethbridge Sports Hall of Fame Induction Banquet to witness one of Taber’s own - Ross Bekkering - receive the honour of being inducted into the Lethbridge Sports Hall of Fame!
Additional inductees of the evening were Dr. Allan Poytress, the Ralph Family, Pearl Borgal, Wacey Rabbit, Kris Versteeg,  the 2016–17 Lethbridge College Kodiak Women’s Basketball Team along with the Sports Persons of the year Shannon Clark, and Kobe Iwaasa.

The Taber and District Sports Hall of Fame was extremely excited to have two individuals being honoured in 2023. Devin Setoguchi, a professional hockey player who donned jerseys for the San Jose Sharks as well as four other NHL teams, and who faithfully returns home each summer to conduct the Verset Hockey School.
And of course Joe Orban, a decades long builder, who coached, promoted, supported, and served hockey, baseball and golf.
