What a season! We can't believe our season is over already!

Welcoming guests back onto the water for another summer of adventures felt especially meaningful. From day paddles to multi-day expeditions, our guests experienced the very best of Northern Vancouver Island, with incredible encounters including humpback whales, Northern Resident killer whales, sea otters, seals, sea lions, dolphins, eagles, and so much more.

More than anything, this season was made special by our amazing guides and team, who shared their knowledge, cooked some incredible wilderness meals and helped create unforgettable experiences for guests from around the world. Seeing Telegraph Cove come back to life while getting to spend another summer exploring Johnstone Strait and the Broughton Archipelago made 2026 a season we will never forget.

No sounds, no text, no noise, just the A62s swimming by our Hanson Island camp!

Thank you to our guide Brad for capturing this special moment with his guests. Vancouver Island North Tourism is such a magical place, and we are so humbled to share it with these beautiful creatures.

This family is part of the Northern Resident Killer whales ecotype, which are usually seen around Telegraph Cove from July into late fall. Watching them never gets old!
