It is with deep sadness that we have learned of the passing of Troy Forsyth in New Zealand this week. Troy spent the winter at Shames Mountain in 2017-2018 as a ski patroller and quickly became a valued member of the Shames Mountain family. The ski industry is a close-knit community, and Troy's loss will be felt by many. We extend our heartfelt condolences to his family, friends, and loved ones during this difficult time.

Last weekend, our friends and neighbours at hosted a screening of The Way Out in support of Shames Mountain, raising an incredible $3,413.59.

We are incredibly grateful for Northern Escape Heli Skiing's generosity, community spirit, and continued support of local skiing in Northwest BC. Events like this remind us how fortunate we are to be part of a community that believes in keeping mountain culture strong and accessible for everyone.

A huge thank you to NEH, everyone who purchased a ticket, donated, volunteered, and came out to support the event. Your contribution helps ensure Shames Mountain can continue to thrive for future generations of skiers and riders.

Thank you for standing with Shames Mountain. We couldn't do it without you.

Season Pass Pickup Reminder

Have you already purchased your season pass? We're already printing passes ahead of opening weekend on December 12-13, 2026.

Save time and pick up your pass before the hill opens.

Our downtown office is open Tuesday to Friday, 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Drop in and see Ffion, who will be happy to help.

Please note that passes must be paid in full at the time of pickup. If you're on a payment plan, you can make your final payment at the office when you collect your pass.

Join us for a special screening of Matchstick Productions’ latest ski film, The Way Out, featuring incredible skiing and breathtaking terrain from the mountains surrounding Terrace, BC, along with spectacular destinations from around the world.
