Race Recap at Flamboro Speedway-Authorized Page

First off the day started out not the greatest. We brought the car home to do some maintenance and touch it up, so for fun I fired it up to pull it outside to clean it up before we loaded…. Good thing I did cause it was sputtering while idling. Turns out we had a misfire in cylinder 1. Changed a bunch of stuff, and when we got to the track Leo and Rodney had some different plugs for us to try. Seemed to work. On top of that, last week we had some other overheating issues that seemed to correspond with a head gasket issue…… after practice we confirmed it was starting to become an issue once again. We had no other backup plans although a car was offered up we decided to just send it and try to keep it cool.

Feature 1 we started 4th. After a quick yellow we lined up 3rd. Had a great battle with Rachel for I feel like almost half the race, unfortunately it was too long and we lost contact with the leader. We had to settle for 2nd.

Feature 2 we lined up 13th. In a caution filled race, we survived the chaos and was running 4th with a handful of laps to go. Started slowly catching 3rd and with 2 laps to go, made the move and managed to grab 3rd out of turn 4!

That put me and Chase in a tie for overall winner of the Flower Pot 51! However as stated in the memo, the tie breaker was feature 2 and well…. He won 🤣 so we got 2nd! Super happy with our results as we have been 2nd now 8 times this year!!!!! But at least we got something!!!!!

We have the motor already changed, just gotta do regular maintenance on it to be ready for our next race! Hope it’s a stout piece! That other motor was really good and in the car for over 3 years!!!

And we’re pulling the motor tomorrow….

Today’s the Flower Pot 51! Some sweet trophy’s up for grabs tonight, hoping to throw my name in the mix! Car seems unhappy today already…. But we will see what happens as the day goes on.

Race Recap at OHSWEKEN SPEEDWAY

Qualifier we started 4th. Once we we got rolling the car hooked up and we stayed up front. Got as high as 2nd, but lost it in the last corner and finished 3rd.

Feature race we started 5th. After a few guys decided to “severely” jump the start, it put me in the middle of the sucker hole and we couldn’t really recover. A few cautions would come out and we plucked back a few spots. Late race restart would come out and found a line that worked and grabbed a couple more spots at the end in a drag race to the line we finished 11th.

Lots of action infront of me in the feature that could have really torn up some cars including mine. Happy to be able to load it at the end of the night. Thanks to everyone that helps out.
