⚾ Thorold Minor Baseball Select Program Update for 2027 ⚾

As Rep tryouts are wrapping up, we've been receiving questions about Select baseball for the 2027 season, and we're are actively exploring bringing back a fulsome Select program like we have in the past. Last year, there was a lack of interest but we know it is out there in our baseball community.

We are currently reviewing options that could include:
✅ House League Select or (HL games + Select Games + bit more)
✅ Dedicated Select teams (similar to Rep)

To make this a reality, several key pieces need to come together, including:

• Committed and qualified coaches and assistants
• Meaningful interest from families with the dedication and skills required to compete and develop (which would include offseason work)
• A workable schedule that doesn't overwhelm families
• An affordable and sustainable cost structure
• Available diamond time
• Support to no overwhelm an already hard working and stretched thin leadership team/coaches

Our goal is to bring forward a Select program that promotes development, competition, tryouts and positive experiences. We're working through the planning process now and will share more information as it becomes available.

What we need from you, is to tell us you are truly interested in not only participating, but helping support and grow the program.

Fill this form out, to help guide our next steps: https://form.jotform.com/262654718303256

Thank you for your continued support of Thorold Minor Baseball.

COACHING UPDATE: We have selected our 8U Rep Coach, Tyler Redfearn.

This is our first ever 8U Rep team in Thorold Baseball history and it has only been possible because of the dedicated families in our 5U/7U program, our coaches that keep the kids interested and loving baseball and the work of our Jr Program Director Steph Hassim Green.

Welcome Tyler to our coaching team and get ready for some incredible fun for these kids.
