Well Cactus got the job done this morning. He was playing “moose calf in distress” and this beautiful female poked her nose out. I did not have pictures of this wolf.

That’s the thing about a March hunt. New wolves show up in March because they are wandering around looking for a date.

In 25 years this is only the 3rd black wolf to make an appearance. 1st black wolf a client has taken.

Few target wolves. Guests arrive Sunday!!!

Well…guys saw 7 wolves and took one. It was a challenging few days.

The boys are all bailing out 3 days early because of the dangerous temps here and bad weather predictions in their home states. So we left a little meat on the bone.

Still…was a good few days. I got to sit with my 75 year old client for two days. He made a prefect shot on an old female. It was pretty rough. I skinned it for a shoulder mount.

Packing up tomorrow. Wrench on some sleds then back at it February 8th.
