Superior Bowladrome

Thank you to everyone who has reached out to us since we announced our retirement yesterday! All of your kind words mean so much to us. 💕

The new owners plan to reopen under a new name in the near future. There will no longer be bowling but they plan on adding pool tables, other games, and some new life to the area! More of a Sports Bar & Restaurant while keeping a similar menu to what we offered. Great sandwiches and wraps, soups, hot turkey, hot beef, club house etc. It will be an excellent lunch and dinner spot open 7 days a week.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. It has been a great 33 years! 💕

Dates to remember for league year end distribution that have not already done so:

Club 55+ - Wednesday, July 22 between 1pm and 3pm

Men’s League - Thursday, July 23 between 7pm and 9pm

Monday Night Java Hut Mixed - Monday, July 27 between 7pm and 9pm

YBC - Saturday, August 15 at 2pm

With the announcement of the end of our Y.B.C. season we would like to wish a heartfelt congratulations to our Senior bowlers graduating out of our program this year. We hope you enjoyed your time spent on the lanes, made lasting friendships, and that you continue your bowling careers with us in the future!

To our Y.B.C. bowling family:
It is with heavy hearts that we are announcing that our youth program will not be able to finish the season as hoped. Our year end banquet has been cancelled, but we will still be able to give every bowler their annual achievement plaque. We hope our families are staying safe and look forward to seeing everyone when gatherings become possible.

Some sad news today regarding the 2020 YBC Nationals. Unfortunately, Youth Bowl Canada has had to make the tough decision to cancel the 2020 YBC Nationals. This is obviously not the news we wanted, but we can understand why it needs to be done.

Congratulations to Sherwood Bowl and the Wiseman family on being named Proprietor of the Year! Well deserved for sure! 🥳

Bowl Canada just held their Annual General Meeting online.

At the end of the meeting, we were totally taken back and unexpectedly awarded "Proprietor of the Year Award" in the 5 Pin Division!

We are so honored and humbled to be awarded this prestigious award that so many other great centers and Proprietors have won in the past.

We want to sincerely thank all of our amazing staff, patrons and volunteers for all your continued support. You all mean the world to us! We would have never been as successful if it wasn't for all of you. WE DID IT!

What great news with all the stress and uncertainty of this pandemic! We are over the moon!

We hope to see you all in our center soon! We miss you!

Here's the latest from Y.B.C. National.
We are still hopeful that we can finish the bowling season. We will continue to monitor the situation and let you know when we are able to resume activities. For now stay patient, stay home and stay safe. We are making a difference and this will be over soon.

Hello to our customers!
We hope everyone is doing well under the circumstances.
At this time, we remain closed due to Covid-19.

Some updates for our league bowlers.
We are sad to announce Bowl Canada has officially cancelled the Canada Cup and Club 55 Cup.
There will be a meeting in May, to discuss the possibility of the
YBC Nationals still proceeding.
The Master Bowlers Association has also cancelled this year’s
National, effectively cancelling our remaining Master/Bantam and YearEnd tournaments.

We will continue to monitor the situation and keep you updated on our status. For now, stay safe and take care. We hope to see you soon.

To our league bowlers:
We hope everyone is taking care and practicing social distancing. At this time, league play continues to be suspended. We are hopeful that leagues can finish their season in the near future. Everyday, circumstances are changing. As of March 17th, we were mandated by the provincial government to close and this continues to remain in effect.
At this time, the following events have been postponed until further notice:
• Y.B.C. Youth Doubles
• Y.B.C. Nationals
• Master Bantam
• Canada Cup Provincials
• Club 55 Cup Zone and Provincials
The Northern Ontario 5 Pin Bowlers Association has cancelled the Open Provincial with Thunder Bay and Superior Bowl to host in 2021.
