We had a short gentleman dressed in green eyeing this one up today 👀
You *might* find the all-new Revolver C2 in stunning emerald and gold somewhere at the end of the rainbow, but it’s probably easier to pop in the shop to have a see for yourself.
Happy St. Paddy’s! 🍀

A huge shoutout to all the strong women pushing sport and community forward this International Women’s Day!💪
We’re so fortunate to have some incredible people doing incredible work right here in - we have creating a welcoming sisterhood that encourages more women to jump into group rides and racing, Cat at coaching riders of all ages and building confidence on their bikes and beyond, currently guiding on the world stage at the Paralympics in Milano Cortina (among her many other athletic endeavours), and so many more that work both in the spotlight and behind the scenes to help foster, inspire, and encourage all of us to get up and get after it! ⛷️🚴♀️
We’re privileged to have women like these helping make our community stronger, more inclusive, and way more fun to be part of. Thank you! 🙌

We’ve consulted our top wax gurus to make sure your skis are sliding fast for the Loppet this weekend - here’s what we’ve got for you!
NOTES:
- Be sure to clean the ski - use some Rode Glide Cleaner and brush that dirty old wax out!
- Using fluoros? No you’re not! The SGL is a flouro-free zone from here on out
- Liquid waxes are easy to use and work great, but they aren’t as durable as a hardwax; we recommend pulling out the iron if you’re skiing >20km.
- Adding additional structure with a riller should lend itself well to the warm temps. Choose a linear pattern for classic. For skate, go with a medium chevron if we get snow overnight, but if things stay above zero and it’s rainy, keep it linear.
- Skin-skis have taken over, and, while they require minimal maintenance, it’s wise to give them an occasional treatment. Rubbing a bit of hard wax on the fibres can help, but a proper skin-care product will help keep them clean and fast, and will help prevent icing up.
- If you’re kicking it old school, prep the grip zone well; clean it thoroughly, and give it a light sand (~120 grit) in a chevron pattern for improved wax adhesion.
- Keep a tube of grip in your pocket just in case you need an emergency top up.
- Choose grip wax on morning of event if possible; these suggestions are what we think will be best, but know that a degree here or there might move you into a different wax, and with the wet snow/rain that’s expected, you may need to pivot.
GLIDE:
- Good -
Swix PS8 or Rode Endurance
- Better -
Swix HS8 or Marathon (paraffin or powder) + TSL8 or Rode RLW liquid
- Best -
Swix TSP8 (bonus: iron powder into layer of freshly applied TSL8 liquid while it’s still damp) + cool, scrape, brush + TSL8 or TST8 Roto, if desired
GRIP:
- Fast Grip -
Thin layer of Rode Violet Special klister base + Swix V60 or Rode Rossa hardwax cover
- More Grip -
Thin layer of Violet Special + 10 drops of Rode Rossa Special + Swix V60 or Rode Rossa.
Zero skis could be the move, especially if things are extra wet and precipitation continues into the morning (if you’re feeling aggressive, turn your skis into hairies with a coarse sandpaper treatment to your grip zone)
Have fun!
We’re ready to get your skis nice and fast for your Loppet this weekend! A little DIY liquid wax top up does a fine job day to day, but nothing beats the a full treatment of a spa day for your bases 💅🏽
Bring your skis by anytime between now and Thursday evening, and we’ll have them ready to go by end of day Friday. (We can usually squeak in a few last minute drop-offs on Friday morning, but check with us first).
It’s looking to be a warm one on Saturday, which could make for some tricky conditions - for those taking care of the process themselves, stay tuned for our wax recommendations - we’re waiting out the weather a bit longer and talking to our resident wax professionals to get you on the right track 🫡
