WHY WE DO INTENSIVES ✨

Our end-of-year + start-of-season intensives are planned with purpose.

We believe dancers benefit from stepping outside their regular weekly routine and being exposed to new people, new styles and new ways of moving.

That’s why we bring in guest teachers, explore different styles and incorporate movement like yoga, conditioning, mobility and stretching.

Because sometimes growth happens when you try something completely different. 🤍

We don’t want our dancers to think:

“I’m a jazz dancer.”
“I’m a contemporary dancer.”
“That’s not my style.”

…and walk out thinking, “Wait… I LOVE this.” 🥹

That’s exactly what we want.

We want our dancers to be curious. To explore. To try things. To surprise themselves.

Because at Legacy, we aren’t just creating good dancers.

We’re creating well-rounded dancers, confident kids, curious learners and humans who aren’t afraid to try something new.

And if along the way they discover a new passion, make a new friend, find a new teacher they love or fall in love with a style they never expected to…

A SCHEDULE WITH PURPOSE 🤍

At Legacy Dance Co., our schedule isn’t thrown together. It’s created with a lot of thought, consideration, and care for our dance families.

We think about the whole dancer, not just their time in the studio.

✨ We consider age groups and appropriate hours
✨ We space dance days out whenever possible and work to limit the number of days families need to be at the studio
✨ Mandatory classes are scheduled first, with optional classes placed later in the day
✨ We avoid unnecessary hour-long gaps between classes, instead, we build breaks into class time
✨ We plan ahead for solos, duets and trios, while keeping room in the schedule to add extras on days dancers are already here
✨ We intentionally leave flexibility in our schedule so lessons and extras can be moved around when needed
✨ We want our dancers to have time for other sports, activities, friends, family and life outside of dance
✨ And for our dancers who are in school and working, we want their dance commitment to be manageable so they can keep up with school AND work, or even have the opportunity to work right here at the studio.

Because we believe dance should add to a child’s life, not take over their entire life.

Our dancers are students.
They’re athletes.
They’re employees.
They’re friends.
They’re siblings.
They’re kids.

And we want them to have the opportunity to be well-rounded, successful humans, both inside and outside the studio.

It may just look like a list of classes on a page, but behind every time slot is a whole lot of consideration for our dancers and the families who make Legacy home.

After a long summer of sleeping in, relaxed schedules, vacations, and doing a whole lot of nothing (and honestly… they deserve it 😉), getting back into the rhythm of school can feel like a LOT.

LEGACY LITTLES ✨

Formerly known as Mini Movers / Kinder Dance, our Legacy Littles classes are almost at capacity! 💜

Designed for our music-loving, dance-loving Littles, this creative movement class is the perfect first step into the world of dance. Through play, shapes, sounds, animals, instruments, movement and so much more, our dancers get to explore, imagine and create in a fun, welcoming space.

Our goal? To help every Little love their space, get creative, make new friends and embrace their own unique creative side, all while building confidence and learning through movement. 🪩🦋🎶
