The Golf Thunder Bay Junior Tour will host the second event of the season at Strathcona golf course on Saturday June 20th. The Mark Humphrey Memorial Junior Invitational. Mr. Humphrey loved golfing at Strathcona golf course, participated as a junior golfer and passed the love of golf onto his kids. Today his sons are sponsoring this event and enjoy seeing the juniors compete as their Dad, Mark had done for so many years. Participants can find the draw through the smart golfsoftware link. Please arrive 30 minutes before your tee time to register in the pro shop and warm up. The top three low qualifiers for 18 holes will be invited into the 2026 Strathcona Invitational Men's event on Aug 1-3 with the lower qualifier on the day earning a fully paid entry into the event.

Wee Links tonight!

For those kids registered for the Wee Links sessions at Chapples, we are excited to see you tonight for the first session. Pat Berezowski and Evan Degrazia will be your instructors and are looking forward to giving you and your parents some of the basic fundamentals of golf. Along with the fundamentals we are looking for parent participation to help the young junior stars when your instructor is not there and insure your being safe during this activity.

Bring your clubs with you if you have a set and if not we can provide some clubs.

Pat will be instructing the 6pm session and Evan will meet you at the 6:30pm session. We won’t cancel due to rain until the start time of the session if it looks to be unsuitable for golfing.

The session is at the Chapples driving range and putting green.

Next event on the Junior Tour schedule is the Mark Humphrey Memorial Invitational being held at Strathcona golf course on Saturday June 20th. All juniors in the club are invited to sign up for this event through smartgolfsoftware. Please google smartgolfsoftware and search the course as Golf Thunder Bay. The events to register will show up on the Tour site.
This event is a signature event with the Strathcona Invitational committee offering up three invitations to the top three juniors overall. The overall low junior of the day will get their entry paid into the Strathcona premier men's event.
Tee times for this next event will start around 10:30am and feature the 16-18 division off the tee first.
Pizza and pop served after golf with prizes in the clubhouse.
If you have not joined the Tour this season, you can still do that on our Golf Thunder Bay website or pay for just this event at the Strathcona golf course before you tee off.

Callaway Junior Invitational updated draw. Chapples golf course on Saturday May 31st. All juniors need to arrive 30 minutes before their tee time.

Callaway Golf Junior Invitational 1st event in the Golf Thunder Bay Junior Tour will be held at Chapples golf course on Saturday May 30th. Tee times will start at 11:30am with the older division and ending with the 11 & under division. Click on the QR code that will take you to the draw for your specific tee time. Tee times are also posted at the golf course. Email [email protected] if you need to cancel. Juniors please come at least 30 minutes prior to your tee time.

Callaway Junior Invitational will be hosted at Chapples Golf Course on Saturday May 30th. Entry deadline has been extended to Saturday May 23rd at 11:59pm. We are low on participants in the 12-13 category and the 16-18 category. Sign up through smartgolfsoftware.com - search your course as golf thunder bay. Tee times start at 11:30am for the older divisions and with entries at this point our last times will go off the tee at around 12pm. Lunch and prizes at the clubhouse after the event. Want to sign up for only this event? Do that through the smartgolfsoftware and pay $20 for the event at the course. Green fees are $12 if you don't have a membership on top of the entry fee.

Chapples and Strathcona golf courses will open for play on Wednesday May 20th with tee times at 8am. Book your tee times 3 days in advance through our website - www.golfthunderbay.ca Book a Tee time. Advance booking will start on Sunday May 17th online, in person or over the phone at 8am.
