Today’s the day - day one of our StrongFit Bootcamps and we are SO excited!! πŸ”₯

Tonight’s class at 6:30pm is PowerFit - this class is all about barbel work. Learn the 4 fundamental lifts - OHP, Bench, Squat and Deadlift - along with some accessory movements to optimize these lifts !

Throughout the week we have BuildFit classes that are designed to help work on muscle building and hypertrophy style training - working on body composition, toning and growing!

ConditionFit is a 30 minute half hour of power class, working on strength and conditioning, HIIT style workouts and so much more to get you moving and your blood flowing!

Finally, we have the much anticipated StrongFit class - this is focused on the unique exercises in the sport of strongman/strongwoman. From log press to tire flips, yoke to farmers, circus dumbbell to stones and many more, you get a challenge like no other. Talk about empowering!!

Here is a bio from this amazing athlete and coach:

My name is Payton Day, I’ve been a certified Personal Trainer for the past 2 years. I have a background in Powerlifting and Strongwoman. My journey in the gym began 6 years ago, but my true passion of strength sports began about 2.5 years ago. I started with Powerlifting for about a year then transitioned into Strongwoman and I have never looked back. I love being able to share my knowledge and passion of fitness to other individuals. πŸ‹πŸ»β€β™€οΈπŸ’₯

Hey fam! One week ago we announced the details for our new StrongFit Bootcamps, and registration is still live! πŸ’₯

I also wanted to come on here to highlight one of the many changes we have made to the program. πŸ™‹πŸ»β€β™€οΈ

In the past, we had β€œtesting” at the end of the program to measure goals. However, the testing was based on strong(wo)man events we decided, and was the same for everyone. We will still have events, a competition people can sign up for, and β€œtesting” at the end. BUT with one major change. πŸ‘‡πŸΌ

The testing will be based on YOUR individual goals. The credo of StrongFit is You Vs. You, and that is exactly what we want these bootcamps to be. Everyone has their own individual goals, whether it be strength gains, weight loss, weight gain, specific training numbers, to compete, to improve overall health and wellness, to change body composition, and so many more.πŸ’ͺ🏼

How are we going to accommodate all of that? Well, each client will be matched with a coach that will conduct an initial assessment, a mid-bootcamp assessment, and a final assessment. You get to choose your goals, update your goals, and work one on one with the coaches to track your progress! ✍🏼

We want to individualize your experience and transformation, while allowing you to take part in whatever blend of classes you choose, and meet like-minded individuals along the way. πŸ‹πŸ»β€β™€οΈπŸ‹πŸ½

Your daily workout for today is a good ol’ circuit day! πŸ™πŸΌ

Most of these can be done with bodyweight (the Bentover Rows require weight), but you can always challenge yourself with those backpacks, dumbbells, kettlebells, bands, etc. - whatever you’ve got to increase the resistance to the exercises! πŸ’ͺ🏼

πŸ”‘ For the descending/ascending pyramid, do each exercise for the same amount of reps, then go back to the first exercise for the next set of reps - take breaks as needed but try to power through!

Happy Monday! Today we’ve got a quad burner for yah! πŸ™πŸΌ It’s super important to really think about the muscle you’re targeting, especially in compound movements - the mind muscle connection is key in activating and capitalizing on the muscle you are intending to work, while recruiting the other muscle groups at play. πŸ’ͺ🏼

Make sure you find weights to use for this one - creative weights, kettlebells, dumbbells, bands, etc.

πŸ”‘ All of these exercises can be weighted, even the ones that don’t indicate to be weighted - challenge yourself!

πŸ”‘ For the Lunge Complex, have your knee about an inch or two off the ground for your bottom range and pulse up from there/pause there!

πŸ”‘ For the AMRAP, do as many of the sets as you can in the amount of time given!

Your daily workout for today is a back day with a bit of chest! πŸ™πŸΌ

Make sure you find weights to use for this one - creative weights, kettlebells, dumbbells, bands, etc.

πŸ”‘ The first series is a giant set, so complete one set of each exercise and then repeat! The same goes for the supersets in the workout!

πŸ”‘ On the Laying Lat Pullover, put your back on a surface (ie: chair, couch, etc.) and ensure you can get a full range of motion for your arms to go overhead and extend, and feel the lat stretch/activation throughout this exercise.

πŸ”‘ For the single arm row, if you have a bench, great - you can put one knee and one hand on the bench, the other foot is on the floor and the other arm is holding the weight and will be the one you row with. If you don’t have a bench, use a chair, either kneel or hold a plank position and row with one arm.
