A little team update 🤍

Meet our 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗶𝗼 𝗔𝗱𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗼𝗿𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗿! You know her... you love her... and so do we!

As Just Move continues to grow, so does everything happening behind the scenes — and Lisa is officially stepping in as our queen of organization.

She’ll be helping keep track of all the little details, supporting our members, keeping things organized, and helping the studio run smoothly day to day.

Basically… if Sarah has forgotten where she put something, Lisa probably knows. 😂

We are SO grateful to have her join our leadership team and help us keep Just Move moving as we head into this next chapter. 🤍

From one small business owner to another, this has been such an encouraging week.

Tilbury, the way you showed up, rallied together, and didn’t even bat an eye when it came time to helping — like it was simply second nature — was pretty incredible to witness.

We may be a small town, but no one should ever underestimate the strength of a community coming together.

Because of you, we get to help one of our local coffee shops stay in business and reopen with a little more ease. 𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝗱𝗶𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁. And you should be proud.

Together, we raised 𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿 $𝟯,𝟬𝟬𝟬 through auction bids and monetary donations. 🤍

To everyone who donated an item, placed a bid, shared the auction, or gave financially — thank you. Truly.

And if you had intended to donate through an auction bid but didn’t win your item and would still like to contribute, feel free to reach out. 🤍

This silent auction was created to support one of our beautiful local businesses through a season of trial.

Helena’s Cakes & Café has quickly become a well-loved staple in Tilbury, and the incredible number of donations we received for this auction is a testament to just how loved Helena is — and to the way this community shows up for one another.

Every bid makes a difference. Thank you for helping us rally around one of our own. 🤍

1. Bidding opens September 7 at 1:00 PM and closes September 12 at 8:00 PM sharp.
2. To place a bid, comment your bid amount directly on the photo of the item/package you would like to bid on.
3. Please make sure your bid is higher than the current highest bid listed in the comments.
4. The highest valid bid posted by 8:00 PM on September 12 will win the item.
5. Winners will be contacted after the auction closes with details regarding payment and pickup.
6. Please only place a bid if you are committed to purchasing the item should you win.

JUST MOVE RUN CLUB:
A totally FREE running club for Tilbury + surrounding area.

We meet at the studio, we run together, and we finish together. One of our instructors will lead a 1.5K loop back to the studio, with the option to call it there or head out for another loop for 3K.

No coaching. No drills. No training plan. Just a group of people who want to move together this fall.

We’re trialling Run Club this September:

Hey guys, this is Sarah — owner of Just Move.

Can I have your ear for a minute?

We’re a pretty new small business here in Tilbury, but we care about this town a whole heck of a lot. Small businesses are a huge part of what makes a town feel like home.

And Helena’s Cakes & Café is one of those places.

With Helena’s permission, I want to share that she has experienced an unexpected medical emergency (something many of you might already know) that has left her unable to work — with absolutely no time to prepare for it.

Orders had to be cancelled. Customers had to be refunded. The doors had to close.

And when you own a small business, you don’t really get to press pause on the bills just because life throws something at you.

That hit me hard. Because the truth is, any one of us who owns a small business could find ourselves in that position.

So instead of watching one of our own go through a really hard season alone, we want to do something.

So if you’ve ever grabbed a coffee there, ordered a birthday cake, picked up a dessert, met a friend at one of their tables or simply loved having a place like Helena’s in our town, this is our chance to show up for her.

We’re asking Tilbury to rally around one of our own.

Because small businesses need their communities. And sometimes, communities need to remind small businesses that they’re not in this alone. 🤍
