To every dancer who stepped into auditions this weekend, we are all SO PROUD of you. It takes courage to put yourself out there, and each and every one of you should be proud of what YOU accomplished this weekend! 🫰🏼🫰🏼

No matter the outcome, you took a chance, gave it your all, and that alone is something to be proud of.

Yes, auditions are serious… but in true MKDA fashion, we still found time for fun, laughs, and a few pairs of those famous MKDA Comp Tryout glasses. 😎
And don’t worry… Miss Jen captured LOTS this weekend and will be sharing the fun over the next couple of weeks! 😘✌🏻

PRE-COMP TRYOUT CLASSES are BACK AGAIN THIS WEEK at MKDA

Comp auditions are coming up REAL SOON and these classes are SUCH a great opportunity for dancers to get more comfortable, build confidence and keep working on their technique before audition NEXT weekend
🪩Try new styles + techniques
🪩Work on flexibility, strength, turns + overall technique
🪩Work with instructors before auditions
🪩Learn how competitive classes work🪩Step outside their comfort zone
🪩Gain confidence in a supportive environment

But honestly… the BEST part about these classes is they are all about learning, growing, trying new things and just GOING FOR IT

Whether your dancer wants to come to ONE class or ALL the classes available…

One thing Miss Jen has learned this year with MKDA…. 🩰🪩🩰
NOTHING and I mean NOTHING is ever done small at MKDA 😬🥳🎊

And once again, Miss Melissa and her staff proved exactly that with the MKDA Year End Banquet. 🎊🎊🎊🎊

What an absolutely BEAUTIFUL evening. It was a full house, filled with so much love❤️, pride🥰, and honestly… so many moments that had us laughing 🤣one second and crying the next 🥹

The night was filled with so many meaningful moments as we celebrated our 7 graduating dancers and recognized their years of hard work, dedication, and growth.
We also celebrated so many other incredible MKDA dancers and everything they accomplished throughout this season. It truly was such a beautiful night.

We shared so many laughs and memories, and not gonna lie… there were definitely moments where there was NOT a dry eye in the room. It was one of those nights that reminded me just how special the MKDA family truly is 💛

What really stood out to me Monday night was this:

“Dance is the Answer” truly isn’t just a recital theme at MKDA… it’s real life here.

Dance brings friendships you never expected.
Memories that stay with you forever.
Confidence.
Support.
Family.
Community.

And WOW… that beautiful community shined SO brightly Monday night!!! Congratulations to you all

To every single MKDA dancer we are SO proud of all of your accomplishments, hard work, dedication, growth, and passion throughout this dance season!!

And to our 7 graduating dancers… we cannot WAIT to see where life takes you next. We’ll be watching, cheering you on, and remembering that you will always be part of the MKDA family 💛

I say it all the time, but I truly am SO proud to be part of the MKDA family, and after a night like Monday night… that feeling is even bigger

I already cannot WAIT for next season.

For anyone new to comp life at MKDA… our auditions are the REAL DEAL �
We bring in professional out-of-town judges and run full industry-style workshops + auditions to give dancers the complete competitive dance experience

JUNE 5 & 6
�🪩AUDITION DAY JUNE 7
Our Teens + Seniors begin Friday, June 5th and continue Saturday.�🪩Our Minis, Petites + Juniors begin Saturday, June 6th.�(Full workshop schedule coming in May )

ALL dancers MUST attend workshops to be considered for the competitive team🚨
� 👨🏻‍⚖️🧑‍⚖️👩🏻‍⚖️Judges will teach choreography during workshops that dancers will perform again during auditions�Dancers🕺🏼💃🏼🕺🏼 are encouraged to take as many styles as possible for experience, growth and learning�If a dancer is not auditioning for a style, they can still take the class for training + experience�

All dancers will wear numbers during auditions
