🚨 IMPORTANT UPDATE – THE FUTURE OF OLYMPIC TAEKWONDO IS HERE

World Taekwondo has officially introduced major rule changes at the General Assembly in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, setting the direction for the Road to Los Angeles 2028.

For the first time in Ontario, these new rules will be implemented at the
πŸ† Black Belt World Canadian Taekwondo Championship
πŸ“… June 7, 2026

This is more than just a rule update β€” it’s a complete shift in how matches are fought and won.

πŸ”₯ Stronger penalties in the final 10 seconds
πŸ“ˆ Increased point gap (12 β†’ 15)
πŸ₯‹ Spinning head kicks now worth 6 points
βš–οΈ Stricter boundary enforcement
πŸŽ₯ New technical review system for greater fairness

πŸ‘‰ What does this mean?

No more passive fighting.
No more protecting the lead.
No more room for hesitation.

Athletes must be:
βœ”οΈ Aggressive until the final second
βœ”οΈ Technically sharp
βœ”οΈ Mentally resilient
βœ”οΈ Tactically intelligent

This is where adaptation separates champions.

Ontario will be among the first to compete under these new global standards β€” and those who adjust quickly will have the advantage moving forward on the national and international stage.

Be ready. Be sharp. Be relentless.

πŸ‡¨πŸ‡¦ Let’s represent Ontario. Let’s lead Canada.
