Sleep matters more than you may think 🤔 😴 🛌

You don’t build muscle during the workout.

You build it during recovery.

Training creates the stimulus through muscle breakdown, but deep quality sleep is where your body repairs tissue, supports muscle growth, balances hunger hormones, and helps fat loss progress.

If your sleep is poor, recovery slows, cravings rise, energy drops, and results can stall.

If you’re training hard but not seeing progress, sleep may be the missing piece.

This isn’t a story just about weight loss!
This is a story about consistency driving results, a full mindset change, a lifestyle change and CONFIDENCE!🙌

This is Seema ✨ (permission granted to share)

We have been working together for 1.5 years. I have been training her 2-3 days a week.

She never said “I want to lose weight”

Our focus has always been about strength. A consequence of building strength has been weight loss, but we actually have never put Seema on the scale.

How do we know Seema is achieving her goals?

She feels stronger (Girl can leg press 450lbs!)

She fits into a pair of jeans that she hasn’t been able to since she was 25 before she had her son!

She gets compliments on a weekly basis asking “What are you doing?” Her reply “ I train with a trainer consistently”

The biggest difference I see between these two photos is the confidence that she has gained in the right side photo.
It screams confidence!

Seema is a perfect reminder that your health journey isn’t always about the number on the scale. That is just ONE metric. Body composition changes, how your clothing fits, how strong you feel, health marker improvements and overall confidence will far supersede and motivate you to KEEP GOING!

Burnout is REAL and the impacts it can have on your health is also REAL. 😫

The impact stress has on our hormones can send us down a brutal road of hormone imbalance that can lead to many other health risks down the line.

Recently I’ve had multiple clients that are dealing with this and not able to find the time for themselves and there health and wellness routines.

For various reasons they are drowning and not able to come up for air.

So how do they find time for themselves, to workout, meal prep, let alone eat just one healthy nutritious meal and stay on track with their goals?

The hammer yourself more at the gym is not necessarily the solution. We have to first sit back and evaluate where changes need to be made.

How do we reduce stress?

How do we remove some of that overflowing water from the cup so that we have more room again for the things that matter the most to our health?

France Part 2

Sitting in the Paris airport compiling my favourite moments from this trip as I wait another 1.5 hours before boarding my flight home, my eyes are very sleepy.

After a week of beautiful adventures and memories made with friends, a very long travel day is ahead. The alarm went off at 2:30 am, my uber picked me up from Barbentane at 3 am, followed by a 1 hour drive to Marseille.
From Marseille I took a one hour flight to Paris, where I now wait to board an 8 hour flight home.

I’m both deliriously tired and wired from the ☕️ that’s getting me through. Sitting looking through the photos as I share them I reminisce of the past week.

I am excited to get back home, snuggle the kitties and sleep 💤 a lot of hours before diving back into work, which I’m also blessed to be excited to get back to.

Mark my word, France I will be back! ❤️ j’aime la 🇫🇷

France Part 1

In January a group of girlfriends who live both near and far decided to embark on a trip of a lifetime together.

The South of France was the destination of choice and a beautiful little villa home in a small town called Barbentane just outside of Avignon was home for 7 nights.

In just one week many adventures were had and glasses of prosecco drank.

Baguettes 🥖 flowed like water and pain au chocolat 🥐 were morning rituals.

The French locals were lovely 😊 and welcoming.
