It can be so hard during this 😷 pandemic to not feel stuck and like you don't have a choice.

Teens need 🀝 support and reminders to focus on what they DO CONTROL and to let go of what they DO NOT CONTROL.

So much of our time and energy gets wasted on worrying about things we cannot change or have no power over. If your teen could benefit from a reminder of this, πŸ”» download my latest CONTROL exercise to help them re-focus and get unstuck.

Teen Wellness Camp set to run in August at The School in Etobicoke. Who's in?!

Our Wellness Camp will help Teens and Tweens connect with their intuition to make smart decisions, work through negative thoughts, and overcome obstacles on the way to reaching their personal goals and dreams. With fun β€œlife-work” exercises, tools, mindfulness, a special journal and power cards, we build their confidence to navigate transitions, make changes, and master the life skills needed to consistently show up as and embrace their unique selves.

Students will learn various methods of breathing, guided meditation, and Yoga Vinyāsa. These methods are geared towards centering the mind and caring for the body, holistically.
.
Hosted by Chris Leonard MA, BA, Dipl(s), EOLD, Reiki Master and Lee-Anne Galloway (Associate Certified Coach (ACC) with the International Coaching Federation (ICF), and Certified Teen Wisdom Inc. Coach, with a specialization in Mindfulness Mastery.

Graduation πŸŽ“ cancelled!? So many teens will miss out on this milestone. Here's 10 ideas to make it memorable!

1 - Decorate your space with homemade or ordered decorations 🎊 and celebrate at home! Make an amazing dinner you love, and set the table with name places and fancy dinner wear.

2 - Celebrate with the family! Get all done up πŸ‘— πŸ‘”, order a new outfit, do your makeup, hair and put on a corsage. Hold a mini ceremony in your backyard or living room with the fam jam!

3 - Need inspiration? Put on one of these commencement speeches πŸŽ™ to remind you that you've come so far! Some great recommendations from Forbes: https://www.forbes.com/sites/francesbridges/2018/04/29/the-10-best-ted-talks-for-graduates-about-the-meaning-of-life/

4 - Professional πŸ“Έ shots! Hire a "social distancing" photographer to set up outside the school and have scheduled time slots for grads to come by dressed up and have their graduation photo taken!

5 - Make a celebration out of opening up your πŸ’Œ diploma (if mailed to you), maybe a TikTok dance?

6 - Create a graduation #️⃣ hashtag for your school and have everyone post their personal celebrations on SM - like a SM yearbook.

7 - Video πŸ“Ή chat party with a theme! Decide on a theme for graduation with your class, then jump on zoom dressed up and play theme related games! Themes I love: 90s retro, Hawaiian Luau, and Hollywood Glam.

8 - Organize a graduating class music video! Choose a song to represent your year, have people submit themselves singing or dancing to it, and use iMovie to put it all together!

9 - Snail πŸ“¨ mail! Send out personalized cards to your closest friends who are graduating with inspiring quotes and messages to remind them that you are proud of them!

10 - Start a plan for an IN PERSON commencement celebration with your graduating class for when social distancing ends in your area πŸ“†.

Have some fun ideas you want to share? Leave your ideas in the comments and inspire other 2020 Grads!

😿 Isolation is hard for everyone, especially teens! Not seeing friends, missing out on extra curricular activities and regular routines has my teens feeling lonely, trapped and anxious.

So, I made a FREE positivity isolation πŸ“‹ checklist to help teens with both physical and mental self care..

DOWNLOAD HERE πŸ‘‰ https://linktr.ee/teencoachcanada

Checklist includes ideas πŸ’‘ on how to take care of your body, your mind and how to give back in this time of social distancing.

Keep it handy by your bed πŸ›οΈ, or on your phone and check off 2-3 things daily and reflect on how they made you feel.

This is only temporary friends, we will make it through. πŸ’«β
