FINDING BALANCE
Yoga INDUSTRY constantly morphs and adapts to reflect the times that we live in. I call it industry, because it appears that at its core the goal of it is not to transform and teach. It is to sell you something that temporarily feels really good.
Living in these polarizing times, it’s no wonder why most of what is offered on social media is intensity vs healing. But what about balance? Equilibrium? Centring? Sattwa?
When our baseline is BALANCE, we can explore the extreme opposites a without getting lost and depleted.
Here are some of the ways you can bring a little more balance into your practice:
Asana:
Twists, Longer Holds
Pranayama:
Sama Vrtti ( equal inhales and exhales)
Box breathing ( 1-1-1-1)

Whenever you have a longer hold in a group practice, there is an opportunity to implement breathing techniques.
When working with the energy of grounding, use forward folds and twists and start shaping your breath. You’ll experience the impact within a few rounds!
