""Відродження батьківщини" or "Revival of The Homeland" is inspired by the resiliency of my community. The painting contains symbolism of a phoenix rising from the ruins of war and the colours of the Ukrainian flag. The phoenix is a mythological bird that is known for its ability to rise from the ashes of its own destruction, symbolizing rebirth, renewal, and immortality. The image of a phoenix rising from the ruins of war can be interpreted as a representation of hope and resilience, where new beginnings can emerge even in the darkest of times. The colours of the Ukrainian flag are blue and yellow, where blue represents the sky and yellow represents fields of wheat. Blue and yellow are also the colours of the Ukrainian national emblem and have been used in various contexts to represent Ukrainian identity and culture. In the context of a phoenix rising from the ruins of war, the blue and yellow colours can symbolize the hope and renewal of the Ukrainian people as they rebuild their nation and move forward from the challenges of war and conflict. The rebuilt monuments of Kyiv at the top of the painting represent that one-day peace will come, and the nation can rebuild fully as one. Finally, the phoenix is carrying three strands of wheat in the shape of the national symbol of Ukraine; this is meant to signify unity and that, hopefully, one day, the war will be over, and we will be one strong community."
