On site this week at the Ontario Soccer Centre delivering the AccelerateHER CONCACAF C Diploma in person phase.

In 2022-2023 I had the unique opportunity to work as a member of the Toronto FC Academy Coaching Staff. The experience was wonderful and it was something I genuinely felt could add to my acumen and better me as a coach, and as a consultant and mentor - it did, like every experience I have does. My father would have been particularly proud, and that makes me very happy.

I have Bill Manning to thank for making the opportunity possible for me and with his departure from Toronto FC, I wanted to make mention of that.

My heart breaks for the family who lost their child this weekend in northern Ontario, specifically Port Sydney, in a swimming and ultimately drowning accident. I can’t imagine the pain they are enduring and will endure for the rest of their lives. Water and nature safety is so important please take it extra seriously.

An unforgettable week with FIFA, Canada Soccer and Coach Educators from across Canada participating in a FIRST ever event like this. Cannot wait to continue educating coaches and taking the next step in coach education. Always learning! Always developing!

Happy National Volunteer Week!

It has been my experience in past and from what I currently hear from students young and experienced that often times teachers assign homework to their students while they’re on break.

Wouldn’t it be interesting if schools mirrored the new "disconnect from work" policy required by Ontario’s employers? What would that mean for students mental health? Imagine a break actually meant getting a break! Rest and recovery is necessary for everyone!
