ARE YOU LOSING WEIGHT OR FAT?
Weight loss is the overall drop in weight due to any body component, including fat, muscle, water, and more. Fat, muscle, and water can play a role in weight loss. However, it can also occur due to other factors, such as bone mineral or glycogen stores.
When people are trying to lose weight, they might typically weigh themselves on a scale. However, this only tells them how much weight they have lost β not how much fat. Losing fat is more beneficial than losing water or muscle, so it is helpful to be aware of body composition and how it affects health.

Hello Fitness people!
What do you do for your cardio?.... If you re like most people, you do not necessarily enjoy cardio, but like it or not, is neccessary for not only fat loss, but for overall health.
My 2 favorite cardio workouts are: ZUMBA and HIIT.
Zumba, I feel like I am a star, burning calories while doing what I love, which is dancing, you can also see people happy and smiling, while dancing to their favorite tune.
HIIT, yes I love HIIT, you can burn a bunch of calories in a 15 to 20 minutes period. Doing cycles of shirt burst of all out intense exercise, followed by short recovery periods.

Almost off to bed?π β°... If you are in this part of the hemisphere (Northamerica) Most probably you are about to. HERE ARE SOME TIPS YOU COULD DO 30 MINUTES BEFORE BED πππππ
1. Snack smart: add some cherries (they are a natural source of melatonin)and a glass of water and voilΓ . Make sure you don't have a heavy snack, it might keep you awake.
2. Stay on schedule: Go to bed and get up around the same time, will help set your circadian rhythm and improve your sleep quality.
3. Shut down: Make sure your phone is off, no screen time at all. Electronics tend to stimulate your brain, and even create more worries and stress.
4. Add a ritual: I talk to God before bed, thanking him for such a wonderful day, even if is not. You can also meditate, stretch or even pick up a good book.

HOW TO SPEED UP METABOLISM βοΈ
Metabolism is the chemical reactions in the body's cells that change food into energy. Our bodies need this energy to do everything from moving to thinking to growing.
1. GET REGULAR EXERCISE
Regular physical activity will help speed up your metabolism, and keep it at an elevated level, even when you are done exercising. It can be incorporated, simply by walking to the store, talking the stairs instead if the elevator, cycling to work, etc.
2. GET ENOUGH SLEEP
Lack of sleep negatively affects the way your body metabolizes carbohydrates. Aim to get at least 8 hours of sleep per night.
3. DRINK WATER
Drinking 500 mg of water can speed up your metabolism, up for half an hour. Try drinking a glass of water before each meal. I would suggest 2 liters of water per day.
4. EAT SMALL REGULAR MEALS
Try to eat something small every 2 or 3 hours you are awake. Even if it's just a small fruit, will prevent your body from going into "starvation" mode, in which your body will hold into the existing fat supply, and burn muscle instead.
5. DRINK GREEN TEA
Drinking green tea in the morning, slightly raises metabolic rates, and speed up the oxidation of unhealthy fats. Green tea has other healthy benefits too, it's full of antioxidants which can help protect the body from disease.
