Morning routines can sometimes be very fixed and rushed. Try to make time for some movements that will support your busy day, as it only takes 5-10 minutes in the morning ☀🙌

Here's my latest morning movement routine:
⚡Squat Holds (5 sec) x6
⚡Bird Dog Holds (3 sec) x10
⚡Split Stance Hip Hinge x10+10
⚡Plank to Pike Holds (5 sec) x6
⚡Active Hang (10 sec) x3
⚡Triple Extension Holds (10 sec) x5

👉Coaching can sometimes be difficult. Finding direction from a coach can also be challenging.

Even though this may not be exactly what you expected, you NEED this person to hold you accountable. Some coaches do not provide the direction or feedback crucial to the session and client's success.

Keep it simple! We can easily overwhelm our clients with too much information so just give 1 or 2 adjustments. Once they have picked up on your early cues and developed an improvement, you can add a few more cues to assist your client. Coaches should NOT just bark out a long list of helping cues. Don't be too high-minded and talk to your clients if they are having trouble with your adjustments.

Meet Your Coach: Rich!

🤟I played tackle football for many years overcoming minor and major injuries.
I wanted to make a living tackling people. I was even invited to a professional assessment camp in Hamilton for CFL teams. Now, I help coach football at a local high school and also play competitive flag football in the summer.

🤟Food is my love language. 🍕🥓🍉 From preparing a traditional dish to getting creative with leftovers... cooking, eating, and sharing food is a big part of my life. Food is a big factor in keeping and maintaining a healthy lifestyle, but it doesn't have to be plain/ boring to be considered "healthy".

🤟I worked a sedentary desk job, before becoming a certified trainer. I felt as if I didn't fully belong there because I enjoyed routinely going to the gym and eating prepared foods. Even sitting at my desk for long periods of time was a challenge. However, over the years I have realized we were made for movement, and being seated for so long is not beneficial for long-term health, so maybe my body was trying to tell me something... 🤔
