A day at the World Flag Series Toronto 🏈❤️

Came out to support Team H.E.R.❤️‍🔥 in the World Flag Series | WFS finals and got to watch them take the ship🏆

From the players on the field to the women officiating, and covering the game…everyone helping build the game — love seeing women continue to show up, compete and make their mark.

And had to bring home a couple signed jerseys to celebrate some of the women in the game.💪🏾

Why did we create EmpowHerFit?

Because we wanted girls to have a space where they could move, talk, connect, learn, and grow.

We wanted to create intentional space for the conversations, skills and experiences that help girls navigate life in sports and beyond.

That’s EmpowHerFit. 💜

Beyond the Game. Still in the Game.

8 weeks later…💜

We started with goals. We ended with vision boards, a little competition, good food, and certificates. 🎓

But the real celebration was seeing the growth along the way.

Watching the girls become more confident, push through challenges, speak up, support each other, and start thinking about what comes next.

That’s what EmpowHerFit was always about.

Not just what they could do in the gym, but what they could build within themselves and beyond it.

I’m proud of every girl who showed up, stepped outside her comfort zone, and gave herself the opportunity to grow.

Congratulations, girls💜

EmpowHerFit | Week 7 💜 | Leadership

This week, we put leadership into action.

With some of our sessions happening in smaller groups, the girls had more opportunities for one-on-one interaction—including moments where they got to take the lead and even teach their coach something new.

We talked, moved, worked through activities, and gave the girls opportunities to step up in different ways.

Our tic-tac-toe activity was another chance to lead, problem-solve, make decisions, and have a little fun along the way. 😂

But leadership showed up in the smaller moments too—from helping set up, to cleaning up, to taking responsibility for the space and supporting each other.

And yes… sometimes the student becomes the teacher.💜

EmpowHerFit | Week 6💜 | Mindfulness & Self-Care

This week, we slowed things down a little.

We got our workouts in, but we also made space to talk, check in, and practice being present.

One of our sessions included a guided breathing exercise after movement, giving the girls a chance to slow their breathing, settle their bodies, and take a moment for themselves.

Mindfulness and self-care don’t always have to mean doing something big. Sometimes it’s simply noticing how you’re feeling, taking a breath, and giving yourself a moment to reset.

A little look back at Week 5 of EmpowHerFit 💜

This week, we welcomed HAGO (Help A Girl Out) to lead a workshop on body confidence and periods.

The girls had the opportunity to learn, ask questions, explore social norms and stereotypes, and have open conversations about their bodies and periods.

We’re grateful to have been able to bring this experience into EmpowHerFit and give the girls another opportunity to learn from an organization doing important work in this space.

Thank you to HAGO for spending the day with our girls! 💜

HAGO’s current funding runs through March 2027, and they’re looking for community support to help spread the word and keep this work going.

Please follow, share, and help amplify Help A Girl Out ™ work. Every bit of visibility helps.

EmpowHerFit | Week 5 💜 | Body Confidence

This week looked a little different!

Alongside our regular movement sessions, we welcomed Help A Girl Out ™ for a workshop on body confidence and periods.

The girls had conversations about the social norms and messages we see around our bodies, explored some of the stereotypes we’re taught, and had a chance to challenge them.

We also talked about periods and the importance of not letting them hold us back—especially when it comes to being active, playing sports, and simply feeling comfortable in our own bodies.

And of course, there was plenty of movement, laughs, and teamwork along the way. 💜

A big thank you to HAGO for joining us and creating space for these conversations!

HAGO is doing important work to help girls and women access period products and education. Their current funding runs through March 2027, and they’re working to build awareness and community support to keep this work going.

If you believe in this work, please follow Help A Girl Out ™ share their work, and help spread the word. Every bit of visibility helps. 💜
