Last night we opened our ten scoring situations with behind the net: post seals, walkout tracking, wraparound timing, and when to integrate.

The puck disappears for half a second. What you do in that half second decides the next save.

Own the dead space and the front of the net takes care of itself.

This summer we teamed up with CoachNow | Coaching Platform — and it changed how we run camp.

Every goalie who signed up got their own CoachNow account.

That meant:

• Daily video of exactly what we worked on, recorded and broken down

• Content in their hands a full week before camp started

• One place to reach the entire group when we needed to

No more “what did we work on today?” Every rep, every correction, every detail went home with them. It was great to film content and goalie parents were able to see what the goalies were working on literally 2 min after we filmed each student.

The feedback has been off the charts — so we’re not shutting it down in September.

Welcome Jacob Hutchings aka Hutchy to The Crease team.

Jacob spent six seasons as a varsity goaltender at Brock University, including a season training under Crease founder Dave Dolecki. He knows the technical, physical, and mental demands of the position firsthand.

With a background in coaching, strength and conditioning, and education, Jacob helps goalies build strong fundamentals and the confidence to hold up under pressure. Off the ice he works as a firefighter — a job that reinforces the composure and accountability he brings to each lesson. Hutchy is available for team practices this season, reach out to us today to line him up with your team this season.
