🚨 NOTICE TO MARINERS – AIRSHOW SAFETY ZONE 🚨

This weekend, the Toronto Police Marine Unit, in partnership with PortsToronto and Transport Canada, will be securing a marine exclusion zone on Lake Ontario for the 76th Canadian International Airshow.

📅 Friday, Aug 29 – Monday, Sept 1, 2025
⏰ Exclusion Zone CLOSED daily from 11:00 – 15:45 hrs (EDT)

🔹 Closed Areas:
• Western Channel of Toronto Harbour
• Large portion of Humber Bay
• Hanlan’s Point Beach (no watercraft permitted)

🔹 Navigation:
• National Yacht Club members may access the Western Gap north side only, hugging the shore wall.
• All other vessels must use the Eastern Gap to exit the Inner Harbour.

⚓️ Enforcement & Safety:
• Toronto Police Marine Unit officers will be on the water at all times.
• Boaters must follow police directions.
• Marine Unit will be monitoring VHF Channels 16 & 12.
• Yellow caution buoys will mark the Exclusion Zone each day before closures begin.

✅ Safety is our top priority — thank you for helping us keep the airshow safe for everyone on the water and in the air.

Thanks to all the incredible members who rolled up their sleeves to help get the club shipshape for the season. The boat yard was buzzing with great finds, friendly faces, and a shared love of all things nautical.

From sprucing up the grounds to scoring deals on gear, the energy and camaraderie were amazing. Here's to a fantastic season ahead—see you on the water!

Boats are floating, spirits are high, and backs are only slightly sore! Massive thanks to all members who made launch 2025 a success; now that the hard part’s over, it’s time to sail, relax, and maybe pretend all this just happens magically every year!
