I lived most of 20 years as an amateur athlete, 30 years as a certified fitness instructor and 15 years as a rehabilitation therapist/ physiotherapist assistant, undoing the mainstream self-diagnosis that pain is needed to improve tissue health.
While its true that the public has an aversion to slow pace in the healing world

Pilates targets those powerhouse muscles, your glutes and quads and hamstrings. Getting up from the floor, getting someone else up off the floor (!) will be easy
