🇦🇫🏐 Afghan Volleyball Shines in Virginia!

On November 8, Afghans in Virginia, USA came together for an incredible volleyball tournament featuring 18 strong teams from across the region.

This year, two teams from Ontario—Kabura and Isteqlal—traveled to represent our community under the leadership of AFCAN Director, Ustad Shadkam Nawabi.

We are proud to share that Kabura dominated the tournament, defeating every opponent and bringing the championship home!

A special congratulations to Ali Sadat, who was selected as both Best Player and MVP of the entire tournament for his outstanding performance and talent on the court.

This is a proud moment for our community and a reminder of the talent, unity, and spirit Afghans bring wherever they go. 🇦🇫🏆

Congratulations to CABC on an Exceptional Conference

On behalf of the AFCAN Volleyball Association and its members, we extend our sincere congratulations to the Canada Afghanistan Business Council, its President, esteemed Board of Directors, dedicated team, and distinguished attendees for orchestrating an outstanding and impactful conference.

The program was a remarkable success — thoughtfully curated to convene business leaders, entrepreneurs, and community stakeholders in an environment that fostered dialogue, innovation, and collaboration.

We were privileged to host a dedicated booth, where we presented the mission and vision of the AFCAN Volleyball Association. This platform allowed us to engage in meaningful conversations with influential business leaders and community representatives regarding the value of sports in empowering youth, fostering leadership, and strengthening community cohesion.

We are pleased to share a selection of moments from the event that reflect the energy and spirit of collaboration.

For those we were unable to meet in person, we extend an open invitation to businesses interested in supporting our initiatives through sponsorship and to organizations seeking collaboration in advancing sports development and community engagement. Together, we can build enduring partnerships that benefit both the athletic and business communities.

We commend the leadership, vision, and commitment of CABC’s President, Board, and organizing committee, and we look forward to contributing to this spirit of partnership in the future.
