As we reflect on Mother’s Day, we revisit “Thaymai (தாய்மை)” - a heartfelt Natyakalalayam production inspired by the novel Secret Daughter.
Through dance and storytelling, Thaymai explored love, sacrifice, identity, and the bonds that connect us across generations.
From our archives, we celebrate all those who nurture, guide, and inspire with love in its many forms. 💛

A message from Vasantha Daniel, Director of Natyakalalayam.
Namaskaram, as we continue to observe Navaratri, I'm looking forward to celebrating Vijayadashami with all our students and their families, and I also look forward to welcoming all our new students to Natyakalalayam on October 1st!
As I reflect on the past 57 years as Director of Natyakalalayam, I'm grateful for the honor of continuing this legacy of my Guru K.N. Dandayuthapanipillai: “…leaving for prosperity, a treasure of knowledge that can never perish.”
