Recently named a National Historic Site of Canada, the Gardens is legendary. Today, the Mattamy Athletic Centre is the home to the Ryerson Rams and will be host to a myriad of other university and community events. Ryerson University will look to add to the history of this iconic venue with the new third floor NHL-sized ice rink with stadium seating for 2,796 fans under the original rafters. The rejuvenated facility also features three corporate suites, an alumni lounge with a capacity of 150, and a modern lobby and concourse area. The second floor features a multi-purpose court with seating for over 1,000, a fitness centre, studios and high-performance gym. The new state-of-the-art Mattamy Athletic Centre is destined to create a legacy for a new generation of Ryerson University students and the local community.
