📍Dance Annex Studio 527 is located mere steps from Bathurst Station on the Bloor Line. There is paid parking in lots close to the venue.

Only 5 days to go until our next Hogtown solo workshop this Friday, so we thought we'd (re)-introduce our incredible teacher. You saw him perform at World Lindy Hop Day, he's the one and only: ALEKSANDR VALUISKIKH!

Aleks is a social swing dancer, competitor, and hobby musician. Aleks started dancing the Lindy Hop in 2013 in Smolensk, Russia, and has been actively dancing, teaching, traveling, choreographing, and competing all across North America since 2018. As a teacher, he strives to deliver lessons that are challenging yet engaging and fun. ✨🥳

**THIS JUST IN**
On the SECOND BAND BREAK of Toronto's World Lindy Hop Day dance this Saturday, we will throw a JUST DO IT CONTEST.

HOW IT WORKS:
1. NO SIGN UP NECESSARY! Just be on the dance floor and be ready to dance!
2. Choose your style: grab a friend and do lindy OR dance individually and do solo jazz!
3. DANCE! You will dance to four to five songs of various tempos for around 90 seconds each.
4. On the last song, judges will *TAP IN* three finalists. If you get tapped in, that means you're dancing in finals! Finalist can be a couple or an individual.
5. Finals will be AUDIENCE JUDGED. Finalists will trade choruses for jam style spotlight. Don't worry, we'll count you in.
