I am receiving lots of calls for workplace restoration due to abusive management. While it is inspiring for me to help create spaces to see the transformative shifts that can occur as people have their stories witnessed and begin healing from the trauma, I am ANGRY that abusive behaviour keeps getting sanctioned and rewarded. Cultures of silence and fear are real in all sectors, and even when organizations have anti-oppression policies postered on their walls. Shame deactivates connection and chips away at the spirit. Isolation sets the stage for the abuse to continue, while the survivor feels humiliated and self-blaming as it escalates. Others become complicit fearing being the next target. This has to stop.

I am halfway through my Restorative Justice Certificate Certificate, and am currently studying RJ in schools. In some wonderful synchronicity, I was invited to give a workshop on RJ at a school.
