Today, May 5th, the Scarborough Sharks stand in reflection and solidarity on the National Day of Awareness for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls.

We honour the lives of Indigenous women and girls who are missing or have been taken far too soon. We recognize the ongoing impact on families, communities, and generations, and we commit to listening, learning, and standing alongside Indigenous voices.

As a community built on teamwork, respect, and inclusion, we believe it is important to acknowledge this day and the work still needed toward truth, justice, and safety for all.

Sharks are red today in remembrance. ❤️

This National Volunteer Week, we want to recognise the incredible volunteers who make the Sharks community what it is.

From our dedicated coaches and trainers, to den moms, team managers, treasurers, and our Board of Directors, your time, energy, and commitment create a safe, positive space where our players can grow, learn, and love the game.

You are the heart of our organisation. Thank you for everything you do, both on and off the ice. 💙🦈
