Concept #3
In the other Taijiquan classic writings “The Hitting Hands Song” (打手歌), there is a
verse that says: “Peng Lu Ji An shall be taken seriously” (掤捋擠按雖認真). The
traditional English translations of these four words Peng Lu Ji An are Ward-‐off, Rollback, Press and Push. These translations essentially were descriptions of four movements in the form. Do these four words simply refer to four movements? If so, why in the classical writings that these four word shall be taken seriously out of the entire form of so many movements? The other movements in the form don’t require the same level of attentions?

In the Wu-‐Chen contest, GongYi was holding both fists throughout the match, did he
or didn’t he used any Peng Lu Ji An with that? If you ask most taijiquan practitioners,
they should all think they know what Peng Lu Ji An 掤捋擠按 is all about. However,
do you know you can also do Peng Lu Ji An with your legs?

Concept #2
There is another phrase in the Taijiquan Treatise: “My opponent does not know me, I alone know him.”(人不知我 我獨知人). Is his statement really achievable? How can one practice taijiquan in order to approach this state? Many taijiquan masters refer to the five arrow bows in the body. Yang’s and the
Chen’s had different interpretations of these five bows. Yang BanHou, the son of Yang LuChan had said that “Power ) is generated from bones and Strength (Jin 勁) is generated from tendons and ligaments.” What do all these mean?

Concept # 1
There is one very basic taijiquan concept that was mentioned in the first ever taijiquan writing, the Taijiquan Treatise, Taijiquan Lun, attributed to Wang Zongyue; this basic concept has been mentioned by almost every other taijiquan writings since then. Most taijiquan instructors will teach this concept to their students. The basic concept is xu ling ding jin (虛靈頂勁).

However, what is the meaning of these four words? Why is this concept so
important for taijiquan practitioners? What is the proper way to achieve xu ling ding
jin (虛靈頂勁)?

I spent 10 years learning the art form of Gongyi Taijiquan (Quanjit, movement of the joints) from the only person to receive all of his knowledge his name was Kwok Tai Ng or Rock Ng I will give you the background on how this came about, this is his explanation on how and why.

My family ( KwokTai Ng ) and the Wu`s were close my father was a confidant of Kungyi. As a child, I started learning taiji at 7 years old and became close to the Master and his family.
Kungyi wanted to further the medical understanding of the development of the Quanjit system and was aware of its deficiencies in the understanding to make it happen for the aspiring student. He identified the lack of anatomical and medical science and needed someone to acquire this knowledge and link the missing pieces.
To this end, he persuaded my father to send me to medical school to acquire these skills.

Why me?
1 He needed someone who already was familiar and trained in the Quanjit system

2 Someone who would not need to teach the system for a living (It would be a distraction) to pursing and pushing out the boundaries of the system.

3 Close to the Wu family so as to ensure that the family benefits from the research.

4 Being at the right place at the right time, I fulfilled all the above and the rest as they say is history

So why, are we divulging such a kept secret and precious skill today?

As pointed out earlier, prior to the development of the quanjit system, any achievement in this area was pretty much hit and miss, mostly misses. It took more than 50 years since its inception by Kungyi to complete a full understanding of the quanjit system and develop protocols that will ensure a high level of success in the attainment of the skill.
Since its inception the world has moved on, there is no longer a need for this skill in combat life and death situations that were common then. If you want to kill someone just use a gun and you can do it from a mile away!

Be conscientious in Peng, Lu, Ji, An ,

upper and lower coordinate, and the opponent finds it difficult to pe*****te.

Whatever opponent attack with great force,

with four liang /ounces to move thousand jin/pounds;

attract forwarding into emptiness joining then out immediately,

connecting sticking following but without (losing the connection) and being stuck/jam in connection
Fighting hands psalm is very real do not believe anyone who says it has no meaning. It just means they don't know what the missing ingredient.
The above is not the correct sequence.

There has been some thought that Gongyi`s form is elementary which is what he said himself and meant. However, he did not mean that his form should be learned first. He was referring that once you know the basics of the 13 stances and how to activate and use them that there is a lot more to come.

Gongyi Taiji is different from another taiji because we use the tendons for our source of power generated from the energy that affects our opponent.

Hi everyone I have a quiz for you today
Incorrect sequence

Be conscientious in Peng, Lu, Ji, An ,

upper and lower coordinate, and the opponent finds it difficult to pe*****te.

Whatever opponent attack with great force,

with four liang /ounces to move thousand jin/pounds;

attract forwarding into emptiness joining then out immediately,

connecting sticking following but without (losing the connection) and being stuck/jam in connection

Some people say that this spalm has no meaning but this was written by Wang Zongyue he wrote The Tai Chi treaties,Psalm of the thirteen postures and Psalm of hitting hands.
Can anyone put the psalm in the correct order?
