More progress. Flow with repetition and variation.

Progress isn’t flashy. It’s not algorithm friendly. It doesn’t attract attention. It can feel tedious, dull and pointless. It can be confusing. It tests us.

Until one day it shows up. Maybe for a second, if you’re lucky longer. But it rears its head.

And that is just enough to keep me going.
Pushing for more. More clarity of ideas and of movement. Plowing forward despite so many things.

Today, I saw progress.

From today’s class… Sometimes things just work out to be funky and super fun! The phrases today focused on following rhythms found in the song, and letting some accents and musical ideas flow by without movement, then ‘catching up’.

FINALLY feeling better! Been sick for ages few weeks, then a trip up to Timmins. Feels so great to be back dancing and teaching.

Improv to a song I hadn’t heard before. Still brewing and stewing in some ideas I’m just starting to be able to put into words that make sense.
