The Up-Cycle

Hello everyone! Normally, I don't air my political views on here, however this is very different.

I have personally worked with Krissan Veerasingam for years and know he's extremely genuine person who wants to make a change.

Very passionate about Scarborough and its issues and has been long before taking the political stage.

If you're voting in Scarborough Center, Krissan is your guy.

- paid for in deeds and good will to Scarborough and its small businesses for the last 10+ years. No money was required.

(I genuinely hope he is elected)

For the past 5 years, I’ve worked to make life more affordable in Scarborough. Not just tomorrow, but today.

As Director of SEA, the grassroots non-profit I built with my wife, and as Co-Chair of TTC Riders, I’ve delivered free repair programs, employment support, environmental initiatives and fought for investments in housing, healthcare, education, and transit.

Our communities deserve a city that works for everyone. Like you, I know the system isn’t working and that’s why I’m running to represent Scarborough Centre on City Council, starting today.

Join my campaign and let's make a Scarborough for all, Together: http://www.krissan4scarb.ca/volunteer

Life’s expensive.

A quality bike doesn’t have to be.

We’ve recently added 25+ bicycles to TheUpCycle.ca, from kids’ bikes and everyday commuters to fat-tire e-bikes and everything in between.

No fancy ad. No big sales pitch.

Just a family man, his team, and a local business working hard to offer good bikes at prices people can actually afford.

Whether you need a solid winter be**er, a rugged e-bike for the season ahead, or you just want to finish out the year riding something you love, come check out what we have.

There’s a lot more in the shop than what you’ll see online, too.

🚲 LAST WEEKEND OF OUR MAJOR BICYCLE SALE!

We’re making one final push to get as many bikes out for fall as possible!

🔥 EVO & Batch bicycles: $650 → $350 total in-store, tax included!
🔥 Refurbished adult bikes: $100–$700 OFF
🔥 Kids' bikes, 20" and smaller: $10–$50 OFF

📍 The Up-Cycle
2854 Ellesmere Road, Scarborough
TheUpCycle.ca

Mon–Fri: 10:30–6:30
Sat–Sun: 10–4

Quick heads-up for tomorrow: We’ll be open, but yours truly is running the show solo. Please come with a little extra time, as waits could reach 30 minutes when we’re busy. I really appreciate your patience.

This final push also helps fund our winter upcycling operations, which is actually where The Up-Cycle gets its name.

We save unusable parts from our repairs and turn them into something new: bicycle chain ornaments and keychains, brake rotor wreaths, rim wreaths and more. With our additional production space this year, we’re hoping to expand that side of what we do even further.

And I know I say this a lot. I probably sound like a broken record at this point, but I genuinely mean it every single time:

Thank you, East Scarborough.

This community helped us grow from working out of a backyard to where we are today. Every person who bought a bike, brought us a , told a friend about us, dropped off an old bike, shared a post or simply gave us a chance helped build this place.

You guys have helped me build a business, support my family, and somehow shape a life out of scrap metal and hope.

I will never stop being grateful for that. ❤️🚲♻️

(Also, I think my little guy is pretty happy people support his papa so he can keep this bright beautiful smile)
