With the negative impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic, youth are facing more problems with their mental health, which is often not properly addressed in the education system, creating confusion and worsening their mental health status.

Many of these mental health illnesses are a result of childhood trauma/abuse, and prolonged social isolation and loneliness that may have arisen from the COVID-19 pandemic and lockdowns. This project seeks to address the barriers faced by youth that are affecting their ability to cope and heal from their own individual mental health disorders by giving them access to resources and opportunities which will facilitate and enable a safe environment for growth, development and healing.

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION: Voices is engaged in the empowerment of youth through the exploration of the trauma impact and the resiliency built over the course of the COVID-19 pandemic. Our goal is to have youth recognize and name the impact of the pandemic on their lives, and to build their emotional intelligence toolkit through various learning activities and fun games.

Voices Global / Sage & Savant presents their second segment of youth day programs with the official dates listed as November 3rd, 10th, 17th and 24th. The project will be run as an "after school" day program which will take place in the afternoon.

Similarly to the first youth program which ran in the Summer, Voices is engaged in the empowerment of youth through the exploration of the trauma impact and the resiliency built over the course of the COVID-19 pandemic. Voices Global x Sage & Savant Present the Return of "Beyond the Trauma" Youth Program! This program has been designed to guide young participants to recognize and name the impact of the pandemic on their lives.
