With spooky season officially ending it’s time to grow some facial hair and prepare for the winter. In line with this, the DHC is proud to continue our annual tradition of participating in Movember. While there are no shortages of causes to support, this November we are asking for your support in raising money and awareness for issues related to men's health. Globally, we lose a man to su***de every minute of every day. Additionally, prostate cancer is the second leading cause of cancer death in men in North America. Spreading awareness and raising funds this November can help ameliorate these serious issues. We are doing this for all of the dads, brothers, sons and mates in our lives. We need your help. Please donate to support men's health.

Dear friends & family of The DHC,
Another year has come and gone. Our season was full of ups and downs, highs and lows. We can all agree that the end of the season left us a little disappointed; not getting another crack at Western and The ODA Cup.
The 2019-2020 Dental Hockey Club bonded together as one, more than any other team in history. The off ice activities done together as a team were a reflection of the commitment that we have towards one another.
In the blink of an eye, 11 players are moving on from the DHC program.
There will certainly be some spots available for up and coming student-athletes in 2020/2021.
With the start of a new season, comes another opportunity for the DHC program to grow and flourish.
They say a general is only as strong as his army. Well the DHC is full of soldiers ready for battle. With that being said, we would like to take this opportunity to introduce the 2020/2021 DHC captain: 4th year student,
There is one more matter of buisiness that needs to be addressed, and that is this years recipient of the Toronto Dental Hockey Club award for perseverance.
Perseverance is defined as: ‘Persistence in doing something despite difficulty or delay in achieving success.’
This years award winner truly embodies this definition.
In his first year at the faculty, this player did not make the DHC squad. He subsequently spent the bulk of the summer of 2017 skating and playing hockey multiple times a week. Improving his edge work and playing skills, this player made the team in his second year of dental school.
In the fall of 2019, he ran into some health issues. He knew his health was more important than playing the game he loved. He briefly stepped away from the team to sort this out. It wasn’t long before he was back helping the boys out on the ice.
Next, the NDEB exams rolled around and this guy took them head on with confidence. Passing with flying colours.
We are honoured to present this years Toronto Dental Hockey Club award for perseverance to 4th year student, UofT graduate: Dr. Pistol
