UPDATE date change for SunUp due to expected rainfall. Our SunUp is this Sunday Apr 26 , where we assemble our boats and get the clubhouse prepped for the season. Come visit us! We should be there 930am - 2pm. Or visit when we are having an Open House May 2nd 10-2.

yay - the winter wait is almost over - docks are going in this Saturday Apr 11 (we are first with the crane at 745am - gah ) and sailing will soon follow.

Paid course for VHF Radio available for Westwood Members

The walkie-talkie style marine radios used by sailors for communication and rescue are known as VHF radios, and users are required to hold valid certification in order to use them. This is a discounted rate of $135 specifically offered for these clubs (normally it's $185). This course is being taught by an ISED Canada certified instructor/trainer.

JTown, Westwood, and TSAR members are invited to register for the ROC-M certificate course offered by CanBoat, being held at JTown on April 11, from 9am - 5pm.

Registration cut-off is March 30. This will allow time to distribute text books (included) in advance of the class.

UPDATE July 12 3pm: 2 spots opened up in our M/W course, and possibly 1 spot in Tu/Th will open after a potential cancellation tonight.... We still have room in our beginner sailing classes , starting mid-July. Come learn how to sail. Spend the hot summer days on the cool water! We have a Mon/Wed class as well as a Tues/Thurs class.
