Our Story

The Mixin' Vixens are perfect for retired skaters, inexperienced/new skaters, and derby players that just want to play for fun. Our team plays using the most recent version of the WFTDA ruleset. We are open to folks who align to women's spaces over the age of 18 of any previous experience or athletic ability.

We offer fresh meat boot camps at least once a year, but we also welcome new skaters to come and try skating.

Practices take place Sundays from 5-7pm, at Jimmie Simpson Community Center at 870 Queen St E, Toronto, ON M4M 3G9. Parking on Street, or in a very small parking lot out front.

Dues are $15 if you're dropping in, or $40 if you pay for the full month.

At practice you'll need:
- roller skates (no blades!)
- helmet
- knee pads
- wristguards
- elbow pads
- a mouthguard.

To be eligible to skate at practice, you must either have previously purchased roller derby-specific insurance or be prepared to sign a waiver. Insurance is $50 and covers you from the time of purchase until December 31, 2016. You can purchase insurance or find out more information about our insurance provider at www.crdinfo.ca.
