We are teaching our nephews how to train their lungs 🫁 so they can always be at 80. When you have a stride you’re never going at 100, you just trust your stride and your bounce. The ones who play at 100 are usually at >50 by second half of the game. For you to develop that 80 speed "motor" you have to purposefully train your lungs. Breath from the pit of your stomach. In order to do so you must engage your core as if bracing for a punch 🤛🏾 to the stomach. The rest of your body should be relaxed letting your stride 🏃🏾‍♂️ do the work. Swinging at the shoulders with a 90 degree bend at the arms while twisting at the hips. Striking with the balls of your feet. When you train your body like this you become lean but strong 💪. You’ll weight 230+ lbs and people will think you are no more than 200. You make a lot more plays and you don’t get hurt as much.
Therefore you must think of your lungs 🫁 like any other muscle in your body and train them as such, by focusing on muscle memory.
