A great initiative

Happy September MGCC! Highlighting a community event on the horizon, see below for information.
Close the Gaps Loop and Link Rides on Sunday September 27, 2026.
The goal of these rides is to "close the gaps" in a potential 100 km multi-use path network that currently has only 9 km of gaps.
This will be the third ride on The Loop  which encircles Toronto using the Don Valley Trail, the Finch Hydro Corridor, the Humber Valley Trails and the Lakeshore Trail.  It is 75 km long with only 5 km of gaps.
The 25 km Scarborough Link runs from Biidaasage Park at Lake Ontario to Rouge National Park via the Don Valley Trail, the Taylor Massey Creek Trail, the proposed West Scarborough Rail Trail and the Meadoway and only has 4 km of gaps.
The Scarborough Link Ride will start at 9:00am at Warden Hilltop Community Centre at 25 Mendelssohn St, Scarborough.  The ride is a 21 loop and will end at the starting point.
The 75 km Loop Ride will start at 9:00am at the Distillery District at the SE corner of Mill St. and Parliament St. The ride is a loop and will end at the starting point.
Both rides will meet for a 15 minute Rally starting at 9:45am at the Taylor Creek Dog Park in Coxwell Ravine Park with entry east off Don Mills Rd. between O’Connor and Eglinton near the DVP.  Limited parking available.
