The hockey season was filled with laughter, teamwork, and unforgettable moments both on and off the ice. Every practice and game brought excitement, but what made it truly special was the easygoing spirit—there was never a fuss, just pure enjoyment of the game. The players supported each other like a family, celebrating goals and learning from mistakes with smiles on their faces. Off the ice, the fun continued with shared snacks, jokes, and friendships that grew stronger every day. Parents cheered enthusiastically from the stands and connected just as much as the kids did, creating a warm and welcoming hockey community where everyone felt included and happy to be part of something special! ( A few are missing but were a huge part of the team.)

Silver medal for the girls! In a hard-fought battle the girls left it all on the ice, losing 3-1. The season may be over but the memories and friendships will last a lifetime. 55 games, 40 practices and thousands of laughs, smiles, many bumps and bruises, and a few tears. What an outstanding group of young ladies!!

Congrats to the Cubs Smiths Falls Girls Hockey Association on the gold medal and hats off to the Brampton Canadettes Girls Hockey Association for hosting a world class event!

Silver medals! 3-1 loss in the final. The girls played well and represented our province and association in superior fashion. Thank you to the coaches for their hard work.

The girls are going to the championship game with a 4-0 win over the Hearst Ice Cats!!

Player of the game Zoe led the offence with two goals. Holy Moly Who’s That Goalie winner Caroline had her third straight shutout. Heart and Hustle winner Alexis and Retro Rocket Blade of the game Sadie were rock solid on the blue line

Next up, Smiths Falls Cubs in the Championship Game at 12:45

After a 6:15 am,departure to the arena the girls are championship bound after a 4-0 win. Well played ladies!

The Blades won a nail biter, 1-0 vs a very tough Smiths Falls Cubs team, to finish first in the round robin. Mila scored the winner in the third and girls held the fort to seal the win.

Rosie is the Heart & Hustle winner, Mia is our Retro Rocket Blade of the Game. Rachel played a stellar game on D to win the tournament Player of the Game and Caroline wins the Wholly Moly Who’s That Goalie award for her second straight shutout.

Next up, the Hearst Ice Cats 8:15 tomorrow morning in the semifinals.

The girls won game two of the tournament 5-0 vs the Hearst Ice Cats. The offence was spread out with five different players scoring goals.

Megan is the Heart & Hustle winner, Mila is the Retro Rocket Blade of the Game, Meara wins the tourney Player of the Game award and Caroline wins the “Wholly Moly Who’s That Goalie?” shutout award.
