40. Boom. It’s here and it’s fu***ng wonderful.

A month ago, I was supposed to be on a trip to Tennessee & Kentucky. I’m so lucky to have friends that brought me all the beer, whisky and food I need! Only thing missing was country music, cowboy hats & leather boots.

20 days till 40 years are under my belt. Today I’d like to post about my Muay Thai family. For 8 years I trained with people who will forever hold a special place in my heart. My time training with and the many others was the most physically rewarding and not to mention fun time of my life. I think it might be time head back. Here’s a quick virtual trip back to grade 12! My first trip to Scotland was in 1998, this was a particularly difficult time in my life. So coming across this picture connects me to my philosophy that life always has some silver lining is true. I gotta say, using this time to reflect daily has been overwhelming and joyful.

Every time I look at the picture, I try to figure out what I was thinking. I see girl with a secret smile, some nerves, and maybe a little “who actually cares about picture day?”. 37 days left till 40... maybe I’m still the same kid I’m looking at here. !!

Today has been day full of reflection & excitement for the future. I have been blessed, truly blessed, to have crossed paths with so many fabulous people!From growing up with my family in Victoria & then Tsawwassen, UBC & BCIT days, living in Australia, working with so many wonderful agencies in Toronto, my Muay Thai family, my Shaver family, travel to over 30 countries and my newest whisky family with . Holy s**t. 39 years.
