Game Day Report!

Lucas Ray collected three hits in four at bats, but Quinte Royals lost to Lac St-Louis Tigers Blue 20-12 on Sunday. Ray doubled in the second inning, doubled in the sixth inning, and singled in the seventh inning.

Quinte Royals collected 16 hits and Lac St-Louis Tigers Blue had 21 in the high-scoring affair.

Lac St-Louis Tigers Blue were the first to get on the board in the first when #11 grounded out, scoring one run.

Lac St-Louis Tigers Blue added two runs in the second. Brayden Boyer singled to left field, making the score 3-0.

A single by #22 extended the Lac St-Louis Tigers Blue lead to 4-2 in the top of the third inning.

Quinte Royals 15U tied the game in the bottom of the seventh thanks to a hit by a pitch, a single by Ray, and a walk by Eric Rosatte.

We moved into extra innings after that. Lac St-Louis Tigers Blue flipped the game on its head in the top of the eighth, scoring eight runs on six hits to take the lead, 20-12. The biggest blow in the inning was a single by #12 that drove in three.

Kyptin Gardiner started on the bump for Quinte Royals. The starter gave up 12 hits and nine runs (six earned) over four and two-thirds innings, striking out two and walking one.

Quinte Royals collected 16 hits in the game. Ray and Tyler Buhr each collected three hits for Quinte Royals. Bentley Genereaux, Reed Gleeson, and Logan Charbonneau each collected multiple hits for Quinte Royals.

We’d like to give an extra special shout out to the 9U Quinte Royals team who came out strong to support and cheer on our guys - your energy, cheering and chanting was not only fun to listen to, but it pumped our team up in a big way and fuelled their comeback in the 7th inning.

This may be the end of the road for this tournament, but we’re super proud of what the team accomplished - playing against AA teams and Elite teams from Quebec all weekend and still competing in a big way is not something to be sad about. Way to go Royals! ⚾️🧢

Our boys will now take a week off from games to practice and re-set, then go back at it in Whitby on July 13th.

Reed Gleeson drove in four runs on three hits to lead Quinte Royals past Beasts 15-7 on Saturday. Gleeson hit a home run to center field in the second inning, scoring two runs, and singled in the fifth inning, scoring one.

Beasts got on the board in the top of the first inning after Jayden Clerveaux doubled down the left field line, and Clerveaux stole home, each scoring one run.

Beasts added one run in the second. Zack Bériault Blais singled to center field following a 6-pitch at-bat, making the score 3-1.

Quinte Royals flipped the game on its head in the bottom of the second, scoring five runs on five hits to take the lead, 7-3. The biggest blow in the inning was a home run to center field by Gleeson that drove in three.

Quinte Royals scored six runs on five hits in the bottom of the fifth inning. Gleeson singled, scoring one run, Tyler Buhr singled, scoring two runs, and Kye Wannamaker doubled, scoring three runs.

Eric Rosatte started on the mound for Quinte Royals. The starter surrendered seven hits and three runs over four innings, striking out one and walking one. Wannamaker and Devin Illingworth each appeared in relief for Quinte Royals.

Quinte Royals amassed 19 hits in the game. Gleeson and Buhr each collected three hits for Quinte Royals. Bentley Genereaux, Wannamaker, Logan Charbonneau, and Rosatte each collected multiple hits for Quinte Royals. Quinte Royals turned one double play in the game.

With that victory, the team secured 1st place in their division moving into the semi-final game tomorrow morning at 9am and will face the Lac St. Louis Tigers.

Quinte Royals built a 4-run lead in the second inning and then held off Seaway Surge charge for an 8-7 victory on Saturday. Seaway Surge closed the gap by scoring on a ground out, a ground out, a single, a double, a double, and a ground out.

Quinte Royals got on the board in the first inning after Kye Wannamaker singled, scoring one run.

A double by Kyptin Gardiner, and a passed ball helped Quinte Royals extend their early lead in the second.

Seaway Surge tied the game in the top of the sixth thanks to a ground out by Wyatt Walker, a single by Aidan Cook, and a double by Cullen Ralph.

In the bottom of the sixth inning, Quinte Royals went back into the lead after Bentley Genereaux grounded out, Eric Rosatte singled down the left field line, and Devin Illingworth singled, each scoring one run.

Coleman Lawrance began the game for Quinte Royals. The hurler gave up 10 hits and five runs over six innings, striking out three and walking three. Gardiner appeared in relief for Quinte Royals.

Quinte Royals accumulated 13 hits in the game. Gardiner, the number seven hitter for Quinte Royals, led the way with two runs batted in. The outfielder went 1-for-2 on the day. Reed Gleeson, Illingworth, Rosatte, and Tyler Buhr each collected two hits for Quinte Royals. Gleeson and Rosatte each stole multiple bases for Quinte Royals. Despite seeing their 4-run lead whittled down by the end, Quinte Royals still held off for a 10-9 victory on Friday. East York Bulldogs 15U AA closed the gap by scoring on a walk, a single, and a single.

Quinte Royals 15U A didn't take the lead until later in the game. The game was tied at nine in the top of the sixth when Coleman Lawrance grounded out, scoring one run.

Quinte Royals opened the scoring in the second after Lucas Ray grounded out, scoring one run.

East York Bulldogs made the score 4-1 in the bottom of the second after Myles Carpenter homered to left field, scoring three runs, and Kian Selby singled, scoring one run.

Quinte Royals flipped the game on its head in the top of the fourth, scoring five runs on five hits to take the lead, 6-4. The biggest blow in the inning was a double by Tyler Buhr that drove in one.

Quinte Royals added three more runs in the top of the fifth inning on three hits. Buhr doubled, scoring one run, and Kye Wannamaker homered to center field, scoring two runs.

East York Bulldogs tied the game in the bottom of the fifth thanks to a walk by Ethan Colley, a single by Jaden Dworet, and a single by James Bigney.

Ray started the game for Quinte Royals. The starter gave up 12 hits and nine runs over four and two-thirds innings, striking out three and walking five. James Dean threw one inning of no-run ball for Quinte Royals in relief. The hurler surrendered zero hits, striking out one and walking one.

Quinte Royals won big over Kawartha Cubs 16-7 on Sunday in our 2nd game of the day.

Kawartha Cubs opened the scoring in the bottom of the first thanks to two singles. Kawartha Cubs first got on the board when Kayden Chapman singled, scoring one run.

Quinte Royals flipped the game on its head in the top of the second, scoring seven runs on six hits to take the lead, 7-2. The biggest blow in the inning was a triple by Tyler Buhr that drove in three.

Quinte Royals scored five runs on five hits in the top of the third inning. Lucas Ray singled, scoring one run, Jaxson Plummer singled, scoring one run, Coleman Lawrance doubled, scoring two runs, and Reed Gleeson singled, scoring one run.

Buhr began the game for Quinte Royals. The pitcher allowed three hits and three runs (two earned) over two innings, striking out five and walking two. Caine Lucas-Mark stepped on the hill first for Kawartha Cubs. The southpaw gave up eight hits and 11 runs over two innings, striking out one and walking five. Devin Illingworth appeared in relief for Quinte Royals.

Quinte Royals amassed 14 hits in the game. Bentley Genereaux, Gleeson, Logan Charbonneau, Ray, Plummer, and Eric Rosatte each collected two hits for Quinte Royals. Lawrance and Buhr each drove in three runs for Quinte Royals. James Dean paced Quinte Royals with three walks. Overall, the team had patience at the plate, accumulating eight walks for the game. Coleman Lawrance collected four hits in four at bats, as Quinte Royals defeated Kawartha Cubs 13-4 on Sunday. Lawrance tripled in the second inning, tripled in the first inning, singled in the fifth inning, and singled in the fourth inning.

Quinte Royals got on the board in the top of the first inning after Tyler Buhr doubled, scoring two runs, and Bentley Genereaux grounded out, scoring one run.

Quinte Royals added to their early lead in the top of the second inning after Jaxson Plummer flew out, Lawrance tripled to right field, and Reed Gleeson doubled to center field, each scoring one run.

Gleeson stepped on the bump first for Quinte Royals. The hurler allowed one hit and two runs over two innings, striking out three and walking three. Cam Twist led things off on the bump for Kawartha Cubs. The pitcher surrendered six hits and nine runs (eight earned) over three and one-third innings, striking out none and walking eight. Plummer pitched two innings of no-run ball for Quinte Royals in relief. The pitcher gave up zero hits, striking out three and walking none.

Quinte Royals accumulated 11 hits in the game. Kye Wannamaker provided pop in the middle of the lineup, and led Quinte Royals with three runs batted in. The left fielder went 3-for-4 on the day. Quinte Royals had patience at the plate, accumulating 10 walks for the game. Logan Charbonneau and Buhr led the team with two bases on balls each.

Quinte Royals added to their early lead in the top of the third inning after Rosatte flew out, Jaxson Plummer was struck by a pitch, and Kyptin Gardiner singled down the right field line, each scoring one run.

Gardiner stepped on the mound first for Quinte Royals. The starting pitcher gave up eight hits and five runs over four innings, striking out five and walking one. Ryan Assinck started the game for Uxbridge Grizzlies. The starter allowed eight hits and seven runs over four innings, striking out three and walking four. Logan Charbonneau appeared in relief for Quinte Royals.

Quinte Royals collected 10 hits in the game. Ray went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead Quinte Royals in hits. Kye Wannamaker and Rosatte each drove in three runs for Quinte Royals. Reed Gleeson collected two hits for Quinte Royals in two at bats. Quinte Royals had a strong eye at the plate, collecting eight walks for the game.

Uxbridge Grizzlies tallied 12 hits in the game. Sam Simpson provided pop in the middle of the lineup, and led Uxbridge Grizzlies with four runs batted in. The number three hitter went 4-for-4 on the day. Connor Geldart, Jacob Richards, and Jaxson Pinguet each collected multiple hits for Uxbridge Grizzlies. Assinck stole two bases.

Jack Horsley singled to left field, which helped Uxbridge Grizzlies tie the game at three in the bottom of the third.

Uxbridge Grizzlies captured the lead, 7-3, in the bottom of the fourth when Jaxson Pinguet singled, scoring one run, Sam Simpson doubled, scoring two runs, and Connor Geldart scored after tagging up.

Coleman Lawrance opened the game for Quinte Royals. The righty allowed 11 hits and seven runs (six earned) over three and one-third innings, striking out three and walking three. Pinguet led things off on the hill for Uxbridge Grizzlies. The starter gave up seven hits and six runs (five earned) over five and one-third innings, striking out five and walking six.

Buhr drove the middle of the lineup, leading Quinte Royals with three runs batted in. The catcher went 2-for-3 on the day. Quinte Royals had a strong eye at the plate, collecting seven walks for the game.

Uxbridge Grizzlies piled up 17 hits in the game. Simpson drove the middle of the lineup, leading Uxbridge Grizzlies with four runs batted in. The infielder went 3-for-4 on the day. Geldart went 4-for-4 at the plate to lead Uxbridge Grizzlies in hits. Jacob Richards, Pinguet, and Horsley each collected multiple hits for Uxbridge Grizzlies.
