And just like that, another season comes to an end!

As we look back on the summer, we have so much to be grateful for. Our rowing program doubled in size, our dragon boat team brought home a medal at the Belleville festival, and our clubhouse welcomed so many people through its doors for rentals and gatherings.

A huge thank you to everyone who helped with removing the dock and boat for the season. Your time and support are truly appreciated!

We’re so proud of everything this season brought and grateful to everyone who was part of it. Now, we’ll count down the days until we’re back on the water next summer!

Amazing turnout at the Trenton Rowing and Paddling Club for the Ontario Adventure Rowing Icicle Chase Half Marathon held on Saturday October 17th.

Six rowing coxed quads (30 participants, including 3 from our very own club) lined up at the Trenton bridge for 10 am start, rowed through to the Bay of Quinte towards Murray Canal in some impressive waves (hence Adventure rowing), then greeted by a calm sheltered row through the canal and back for a total distance of 23k.

Thank you to Ontario Adventure Rowing for returning to our community for their final season rowing event. Positive feedback was heard throughout the day from both participants and organizers alike.

Many thanks also to TRPC volunteers for providing support to the OAR organizers and event, as well as to the City of Quinte West for providing participants with 'treat bags' highlighting our community.

Curious about this event, mark your calendars for next Spring to come see all that the Trenton Rowing and Paddling Club has to offer.

Volunteers needed this Sunday October 18th, 10-1pm to help us lift our dock out of the water and close up our clubhouse. If you are able to spare a few hours or know someone who can help out, we would love the help. The more hands the better.

Congratulations to Cynthia, TRPC member and OAR president, on completing the Half Marathon at 2026 CSM in Ottawa this past weekend. You may have caught a glimpse of Cynthia on her rowing shell as she trained all summer from TRPC several times per week. Her determination paid off with 3rd place finisher out of 11, simply amazing! Cynthia is pictured below (middle individual) after her row, looking fabulous. Well done Cynthia!
