Today is a hard day at the Lair as after a year of coaching, laughing, encouraging, challenging, and showing up for our people, Coach Caley is heading on onto her next chapter!
We are absolutely heartbroken to see her go, but more than anything, we are incredibly proud of her.
In her short time with us, Caley has made an impact that reaches far beyond the classes she coached. She has built relationships, helped people believe in themselves, celebrated the little wins, pushed through the hard days, and become someone our members know they can count on. She has poured so much of herself into this community, and we are better because she was here.
That kind of impact doesn't disappear when someone walks out the door.
So while those final classes might feel heavy and a little like goodbye, we aren't saying goodbye to Coach Caley- We're saying see you later.
Go chase this next chapter. Go learn, grow, flourish, and become whatever it is you're meant to become.
We'll be cheering you on every step of the way!
And if you find your way back to the Lair, you'll find a community here that is incredibly grateful you were part of it.
We love you, Caley. Thank you for everything!
Once a part of the Lair Fam, always part of the Lair fam.

There are some that become part of the Lair so gradually that you almost don't realize just how much they've grown until you look back.
We've had the privilege of watching Casey grow up here.
From a young athlete who showed up quietly to class, worked hard, pushed herself, and kept getting stronger, to the occasional peep from the top windows when she was doing her own thang upstair, and now to the bright, cheery, driven coach she has become, watching her journey has been nothing short of pretty special.
When we got lucky enough to have her come back and coach alongside us,we knew this transition at the end of summer was going to be really hard.
Casey has quickly become such a valued part of our coaching team. Her athleticism is inspiring. Her drive is contagious. Her energy can light up a room, and her willingness to work hard and chase what she's capable of has motivated far more people than she probably realizes.
But what makes us proudest isn't just the athlete or coach she's become,
It's the young woman we've had the privilege of watching bloom over the years.
Casey, you are an absolute force.
And now you're heading to Regina to start another chapter, and while we're going to miss having you around the Lair, we couldn't be more excited to watch where you take yourself next.
Keep chasing big things. Keep working hard. Keep being unapologetically you.
The Lair will always be a little bit yours, and we'll always be cheering you on.
Go make some noise!

If you've met Kelley, you know she isn't usually the loudest person in the room.
In fact, she's about as quiet as they come.
But don't let that fool you!
Behind that quiet nature is someone who shows up with incredible consistency, works hard every single class, and genuinely wants to learn. Kelley is the kind of athlete who's always listening closely, asking thoughtful questions, and taking the time to understand why a movement is performed a certain way.
She doesn't cut corners, because she wants to do it well. A trait every coach loves and admires about her.
Now... every once in a while, the quiet slips away.
A little bit of sass sneaks out, a perfectly timed comment catches everyone off guard, and we're reminded that there's a hilarious side of Kelley just waiting to make more appearances.
Those moments are some of our favourites!
Because while Kelley may be soft-spoken, she's quietly building confidence with every class she attends.
One hundred classes isn't just about learning movements or getting stronger. It's about becoming more comfortable, more capable, and more confident in yourself.
Kelley, thank you for your consistency, your willingness to learn, and for letting us catch glimpses of that fun, sassy personality. We have a feeling the next 100 classes are going to bring even more of it.
Congratulations on your first 100 classes!

⭐️ANNUAL COMMITTED CLUB⭐️
Okay, Lair fam... this is a BIG list.
These are the members who achieved 15+ classes every single month for an entire year.
And what makes this list so incredible isn't just the number of classes, It's the variety of lives represented here.
Young people. Retirees. Parents of little ones. Parents of older kids whose calendars are packed with sports. People who travel. Full-time workers. Busy farmers. People with demanding jobs, demanding families, and a whole lot of life happening in between.
There is no magic lifestyle that makes consistency easy.
The uniting factor is that SOMEHOW, despite all the life in between, they managed to make fitness a priority, show up consistently, and set a real life example of how this is realistic.
They adapted, adjusted, and found a way.
That's exactly why this list matters so much. Not just as a celebration of each of these members together on this list, but because individually they all had s**t to deal with and life to live inbetween, excuses stacked and roadblocks to overcome.Yet here they are, making up a paragraph of names that holds so much value.
August marks the beginning of a new Annual Committed Club year, and maybe you're looking at this list thinking:
"I could never do that."
well, we'd love to challenge that thought.
You don't have to know how you're going to make 15 classes happen for an entire year. You don't have to have the perfect schedule. You don't have to wait for life to calm down.
You just have to decide to start.
15+ classes is realistic TODAY if you decide to begin.
Step through the doors. Take it one class at a time. Learn how to adapt when life gets busy. Let your Lair fam help you find a way.
Because this crew is living proof that no matter what life throws at you...
it can happen if you make it happen.
And maybe next August, your name will be on this list too. 🥰
To every single Annual Committed Club member: we are SO proud of you. What an incredible example you've set for the rest of your Lair family.

If you've ever wondered what commitment looks like... It looks a lot like our girl Jen.
Life doesn't exactly make it easy for her to get to the gym. Between work, mom life, kids, a commute from Wilkie, and everything else on her plate, there are plenty of reasons she could decide to skip a workout.
Instead, she finds a way.
Again and again.
She's the kind of member who squeezes CrossFit or Open Gym into whatever window life gives her, quietly making herself a priority in the middle of taking care of everyone else. In fact, she's done it so consistently that she's become a regular in our Committed Club, proving that dedication isn't about having more time, it's about making the most of the time you have!
One of our favourite things about Jen is how deeply she celebrates the people around her. She'll cheer someone else's PR before she gives herself credit for her own.
She'll stand in genuine awe of another athlete's accomplishment, all while being far harder on herself than she ever needs to be.
She makes it dangerously easy to spend half a workout visiting instead of exercising because she's simply that wonderful to talk to.
Jen, we hope you know that we see everything you're balancing.
We see the long drives, the full calendar, and the choice you continue to make to invest in yourself anyway.
Two hundred and fifty classes is an incredible accomplishment, and every one of them was earned.
Thank you for bringing your warmth, your kindness, and your contagious laughter to the Lair. We're so grateful you're part of this community!

Summer is here, the lake is calling, weekends disappear in a blur of camping, travel, BBQs and sunshine... and these members still found a way to show up for themselves despite every reason to "just start when summer is over".
15+ classes in July. 👏
That's no small feat.
Staying consistent doesn't mean putting your life on hold. It means finding a way to make your health and wellness fit into the life you're actually living. And in a month designed to tempt you away from your routine, this crew kept showing up!
We're incredibly proud of every single name on this list. 💛
And a huge THANK YOU to our friends at Rise + Grind for continuing to partner with us and sponsor our monthly Committed Club draw. Your support helps us celebrate the people who keep choosing themselves, month after month. Our lovely Miss Caley was this months winner- truly incredible how she still finds time to get her own fitness in while supporting so many others doing the same!
This is a reminder that we are still on the early side of August... its not too late to pick yourself up and make your wellbeing a priority!!
The Annual committed Club (15+ classes every month... ALL YEAR?!) from the past year is about to drop.. whos choosing to work towards the next one?!
Lets go fam!!

Some people make hard work look... well, hard.
Gord makes it look worthwhile.
For years, he's shown up to CrossFit and Men's LIFT with the same steady attitude: do the work, adapt when needed, and keep moving forward.
He's faced shoulder limitations along the way, but they've never defined him. Instead, Gord has done what great athletes do. He's learned, adjusted, and continued to put in the effort with patience and determination.
And if you've seen him lately, you know he's got his sights set on a bar muscle-up.
Watching him chip away at that goal, one rep and one drill at a time, is a reminder that learning doesn't stop just because you've been doing this for years.
Outside of the workouts, Gord is simply one of those people you're happy to see walk through the doors.
He's quick to encourage the people around him, always ready with a genuine smile that reaches his eyes, and somehow has a way of making you feel like your effort mattered.
If you've ever caught him and Wilda bantering across the gym (or somehow carrying on a conversation when only one is in the building), you know exactly how much fun they both bring to the Lair. They keep us laughing in the best way.
Seven hundred and fifty classes represents years of consistency, resilience, and quietly showing others what it looks like to keep showing up.
Gord, thank you for your encouragement, your determination, and the warmth you bring to this community. The Lair is better because you're part of it!
