HEAD COACH & ASSISTANT COACH POSITIONS
The Valleyview Vipers Swim Club is now accepting applications for Head Coach and Assistant Coach for the upcoming summer swim season!
We are seeking confident, enthusiastic, and dedicated individuals with strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills who are passionate about competitive swimming and athlete development. Ideal candidates will bring a positive, team-focused approach, the ability to motivate and inspire young swimmers, and a commitment to fostering a supportive, encouraging, and successful swim program.
Qualifications & Requirements:
* NCCP Swimming 101 / Fundamentals Coach – Trained or higher.
* Current Criminal Record Check, including a Vulnerable Sector Check where required.
* Safe Sport Training – Respect in Sport or CAC Safe Sport Training.
* Registration with ASSA / Swim Alberta and applicable coaching organizations.
* Demonstrated leadership experience with the ability to manage a swim program, mentor assistant coaches, and motivate athletes.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with swimmers, parents, coaching staff, and the club executive.
* Strong competitive swimming background and knowledge of stroke development, technique, and training principles.
* Excellent organizational skills, initiative, and the ability to plan and deliver effective training sessions.
📅 SEASON & SCHEDULE
Season: May 1 – Early August
Practices: Monday to Thursday | 4:00–6:00 PM
Swim Meets: Saturdays | 9 scheduled meets throughout the season, plus Regionals and Provincials.
Competitive salaries based on qualifications and experience.
