💙 Stronger Together — This Is the Diving Community 💙

A heartfelt thank you to Boardworks Diving Academy for welcoming our iDive athletes and giving them the opportunity to train alongside your team this summer.

After the closure of Vancouver Aquatic Centre, this summer brought many changes and challenges for iDive. Having another diving club open its doors, share its training space, and welcome our athletes meant so much to us.

This is what makes the diving community special. ❤️

We may train with different clubs and compete against each other at meets, but when challenges arise, we support one another, share what we have, and help keep our athletes moving forward.

To the coaches, athletes, families, and everyone at Boardworks— thank you for your kindness, generosity, and support. We are truly grateful for the friendship between our clubs.

🇨🇦 Celebrating National Coaches Week! ❤️

👏 Meet our iDive coaching team

Behind every dive, every new skill, every breakthrough, and every confident athlete is a coach who teaches, encourages, challenges, supports, and believes.

This National Coaches Week, we are proud to celebrate the amazing coaching team behind iDive Diving Academy!

From Learn to Dive and Competitive programs to High Performance training, our coaches bring their experience, knowledge, energy, and passion to the pool, to the dryland every day. Each coach plays a different role, but we share one goal: helping every athlete learn, grow, build confidence, and become the best diver—and person—they can be.

To our coaches: thank you for the countless hours on deck and the dryland workouts, the encouragement after difficult practices, the attention to every little detail, and the excitement you share in every athlete’s progress.

Coaching is about much more than teaching a dive. It is about building fundamentals, confidence, resilience, discipline, and a lifelong love of sport.

We are proud of our coaches, proud of our athletes, and proud of the team we continue to build together.

🤸‍♀️💦 One of iDive’s New Homes — Our Dryland Training Centre in Richmond!

This summer, iDive officially opened our new dryland training base at Wayland Sports Centre in Richmond! 🎉

Many parents new to diving ask:
“If diving happens in the pool, why do divers need to train on land?”

Because dryland training is where many of the fundamentals of diving are built.

Before taking new skills to the springboard or platform, divers spend countless hours developing body control, take-off technique, somersaults and twists, strength, flexibility, coordination, and spatial awareness.

Through trampolines, dryboards, mats, and diving-specific conditioning, athletes can learn and refine skills in a more controlled environment before gradually transferring them to the water. 🤸‍♂️➡️💦

Great diving starts with great fundamentals — and many of those fundamentals are built on land. 💪

After saying goodbye to our longtime home at VAC, this new facility represents another important step forward for iDive. ❤️

New home. New chapter. Same passion for diving.
