Most women don’t fail at fitness.

They get stuck in patterns… and blame themselves for it.

You tell yourself:

“Okay, this time I’m serious.”

You eat well for a few days.
Maybe even a couple of weeks.

Then something happens…

You get stressed.
You get tired.
Life gets busy.

And suddenly…

You’re standing in the kitchen at night.
Snacking when you said you wouldn’t.

Or skipping the workout you planned all day.

Or telling yourself…

“I’ll start again Monday.”

And right after that moment?

That feeling…

Guilt.
Frustration.
Disappointment.

You start questioning yourself:

“Why do I keep doing this?”
“Why can’t I stay consistent?”
“What’s wrong with me?”

Let me be very clear with you.

Nothing is wrong with you.

You’re not lacking discipline.

And a time to rebuild.

You’re looking at a moment where I felt strong, confident… and fully in control.

But here’s something most people don’t realize.

That feeling doesn’t stay just because you’ve achieved it once.

Earlier today, I didn’t feel like this version of me.

Not as confident.
Not as certain.
Not as “together.”

And for a second… I paused.

Because I’ve built this body.
I’ve trained for years.
I’ve stepped on stage.

So why would that feeling still come and go?

Then I reminded myself of something I teach all the time:

Just like the body…
the mind runs on patterns.

You don’t build muscle once and keep it forever.

You train it.
You maintain it.
You re-engage it.

Confidence works the same way.

There was a time when I could just “focus” and bring myself back.

And it worked.

But sometimes now…
the mind gets louder than I’d like.

Especially when life, pressure, or emotions start stacking.

And that’s when most people make it mean something:

“I’m losing it.”
“I’m not as strong anymore.”
“What’s wrong with me?”

But the truth is,

Nothing is wrong.

You’re just accessing a different pattern.

This version of me in the photo?

She didn’t disappear.

She’s still here.

But like any muscle…
she needs to be activated.

Right after Christmas, my sister-in-law spotted frozen turkeys on sale for $0.99 per pound.

I picked one up for $13.

Now watch this.

That one decision turned into almost a full week of meals:

Turkey sandwiches
Turkey fried rice
Turkey salad with eggs
And the best part… a rich homemade broth from the bones

One purchase.
Multiple meals.
High protein.
Nutrient-dense.
No waste.

This is how you win in a high-inflation economy.

Not by eating less…
But by thinking smarter.

Most people shop for convenience.
Leaders shop for leverage.

Same as your body.

You don’t build strength by avoiding food.

Most people think they are “stuck” with the body they have… the mindset they have… the life they have.

That’s not true.

Your body is not fixed.
Your cells are constantly renewing. You are not the same person you were months ago — physically or mentally.

You are energy in motion.

And yes… this is true even after 50.
Especially after 50.

Because your body is still listening.
Still adapting.
Still responding to what you give it every single day.

When you change what you eat… your body responds.
When you move differently… your shape changes.
When you build muscle… your strength, posture, confidence — even your mood — shift.

And it doesn’t stop at the body.

When you change your thoughts…
You change what you notice.
What you believe.
What you tolerate.
What you go after.

And suddenly… your life starts to look different.

This is where most people get it wrong:
They think age is the limit.

But age is not the limit.
Patterns are.

Your results are always a reflection of:
→ your daily habits

Earlier today, I caught myself in a quiet but familiar pattern…

I didn’t feel confident.
I didn’t feel like “my best self.”

And it made me pause.

Your external success does not make you immune to internal doubt.

So instead of pushing through or ignoring it, I did something different.

I looked for evidence.

Not validation from others—
but proof from my own life.

Confidence is not something you earn once and keep.
It’s a state you either access… or lose access to.

The problem isn’t that we’re not enough.

The problem is we forget how to access the version of us that already is.

The other day, I had a conversation with someone who told me this…

And I paused.

Because this is how misinformation quietly spreads—especially in health.

Let me simplify this for you 👇

Pigeon (also called squab) is not 10x more nutritious than chicken.

But… it is more nutrient-dense in certain ways.

Think of it like this:

👉 Pigeon is like a concentrated version of fuel
👉 Chicken is like a lean, lighter fuel

What’s actually different?

✔️ Pigeon has more iron → supports your energy
✔️ Higher vitamin B12 → brain + nervous system
✔️ Slightly more fat → richer, more satisfying

When I was competing in bodybuilding in my 50s, I didn’t starve my body.
