Yes, conditioning is VERY important…BUT, when you have non-optimal ROM and movement inefficiency, both can and will lead to burning out before you have too.
For example, a great puncher makes long bouts of striking look effortless, while someone new to punching tires of very easy due to all the extra “effort” and movement deficiencies they showcase.
Endurance = energy system conditioning + skill + optimal (not necessarily maximal) ROM.
