Last weekend it was time for the annual Burnwater Spring Sprint!

The weather was perfect and no big boats crashed the course this year!

New this year, the race format was three 200m races per team. Paddling to be positioned in the Women’s Division A Final, in what was almost a photo finish, the team brought home the bronze!! 💪

A great day was had by all at the Inlet Spring Regatta 2026. Athletes paddled in four 200m sprints over the course of the day.

The FC Masters ended the day paddling hard through the Women’s Kingfisher Division A final, to bring home the silver “woodle” medal (icon of the Inlet Spring Regatta).

Bonus - this year’s regatta didn’t have any unexpected delays and we had lots of water to paddle in!

Next up Burnwater Spring Sprint - May 2nd!

Last weekend brought with it our first set of time trials and first paddle camp of the year!

Day 1 started with our sprint time trials - pairs format, followed by paddling, video review, and more paddling that incorporated our feedback.

Day 2 kicked off with our 2K time trials followed by two paddle camp sessions.

It was a busy weekend with lots of personal bests being achieved and everyone inspired to push ourselves even more.

The team has been back in the dragonboat as of one week ago today! It’s great to be together in one boat again.

Although we haven’t been in the dragonboat until recently, we’ve been on the water for a while!! Stay tuned to see more about all that we’ve been up to!
